This is the first live version i saw of the song. The moon at the begining stuck in my head for years. Brilliant way to start a song. This was written for the Good Friday peace deal in Ireland. (October talks getting knowhere). but it took Bono a while to admit to it. Don't know why.

I personally must agree... According to the band, POP was finished under time pressure.. That's one of the reasons several singles are released - I think 7 - the most for an U2 album.

Pop has for the longest time been my favorite U2 album, even more than Rattle and Hum or The Joshua Tree. From Discotheque, to Do you feel loved, to Mofo, Staring at the Sun, Last Night on Earth, If God will send his angels, to Gone and Please, Miami and If you wear that Velvet Dress, to Wake up Dead Man. This is U2's darkest album, but also a work of genius.
