No one's probably gonna read this, but I’ll say it anyway cuz I feel at least 1 person will. I'm a young designer and graffiti artist, I know there's a million out there but I feel like my art has a unique individual style.
If you just take a min and give me a chance I'll make you a believer. I would love nothing more than to have a loyal following on youtube. If anyone who reads this could press the "THUMBS UP" others will see it. Just a simple button push will make a huge difference.
More amazing for the way they blended it into where the streets have no name. Didnt think running to stand still into streets could be bettered but it is, miles better than album version as well
This is the first live version i saw of the song. The moon at the begining stuck in my head for years. Brilliant way to start a song. This was written for the Good Friday peace deal in Ireland. (October talks getting knowhere). but it took Bono a while to admit to it. Don't know why.
I personally must agree... According to the band, POP was finished under time pressure.. That's one of the reasons several singles are released - I think 7 - the most for an U2 album.
Pop has for the longest time been my favorite U2 album, even more than Rattle and Hum or The Joshua Tree. From Discotheque, to Do you feel loved, to Mofo, Staring at the Sun, Last Night on Earth, If God will send his angels, to Gone and Please, Miami and If you wear that Velvet Dress, to Wake up Dead Man. This is U2's darkest album, but also a work of genius.
You need chaos in your heart to give birth to a dancing star.
could not agree anymore, how the fuck did they ever get bagged for it, very dark, very moving, very fucking out there. a brilliant piece of work from a band who know anything worse....and they keep getting better.
In my opinion the best "Please" performance from them. After that they played "Where the streets have no name" and the sequence -or the match- between the two songs was just amazing.
my dad went to that one as well and he said it was fucking great as well. lovin the sunday bloody sunday drummin. spot on as usual from the never ageing irish gods!!!!
what ever is going to become of the "POPMART Lemon" it needs to be on the Las Vegas strip!! perfect place for it U2's foundation for the opening of POPMART IN 97!!! giant size cocktail lounge complete with Neon lights
Agreed, i was there also. It was a magical evening. Bono's voice was very powerful that evening. Never heard it again like this. The POP songs are incredible, live

awesome song...this low-rate euro-skank is bringin it down a few notches....no offense(i'm canadian)at least americans don't have totally white-thrash accents......except southerners....you limeys invented the fuckin language but you can't speak it cuz ur lower than slaves...learn how to speak proper english you fucking hicks!..."manchestaaaahhh"u fuckin rednecks
loss of millions in 97 for them w/ popmart never could figure out why they did that. glad to see they totally rebounded in 2001 w/ all that you can't leave behind "reinvention didn't work for them in 97" all in all please is a terrific song although
Muito louco.

Or maybe the reason for all the singles is that they're AWESOME!!
Seriously, I don't know why people hated Pop and PopMart. It was amazing!

I was there at work.
I was selling Pepsi with a tank on my back.
At one time Bono asked for a applause for all Pepsi tank carriers while I was standing in front of him.
I became a U2 fan only that day.
The next day I had to work again, so I've seen them twice up close and personal...yes.
