First of all what is a "typical white person?" Second of all Jesse Jackson said a few years ago that he was ashamed to admit that when he is walking at night in the street if he hears someone walking behind him he is relieved to see that they are white instead of black when he looks behind him. Is Jesse Jackson being a racist? Are his feelings typical of the avge middle aged black man?

17 years he followed a racist, hate-filled pastor. For 17 minutes he addressed it. Ok lets forgive him but forgiving him is far different than electing him president. Leaders would not be a part of that nonsense for 17 years.

Obama said he doesn't wear a lapel flag because this symbol of patriotism has become diluted. If he can get up and walk away from a symbol he says he believes in how could he not get up and walk away from the craziness of his pastor he now says he disagrees with?

I am disappointed that a president would make this sort of remark. He was commenting on what he believes to be an innate prejudice of "typical white people" towards blacks. He has put me into a category that I may or may not belong in. Without knowing me he has no right to do this no matter what color I am or what color he is. I am not basing my opinion on the news people said about this remark. I am basing my opinion on the words that came from his mouth. He should stick to the tele-prompter.

If I see a black person on the street I am not immediately scared. Now, if I see someone of any color with their pants down to their knees and their slouching I may pay extra attention, but to say we've been breed to act a certain way is ridiculous and racist. If Jimmy the Greek got fired for what he said that maybe everyone should at least start to question Obama. Sadly, he may be a racist. And my saying that doesn't make me a racist as much as some may want to say that about me.
