yea, your dumb if you think photek is the greatest. Music is about making music that sounds good, you are looking at it the whole thing way to technically, his music dosent make you go nuts, not enough emotion, too much math
@kushmac Surely music is about finding whatever sounds great to YOU. If u don't like it, whatevs, go listen to something you do. But don't call people dumb who do like it - maybe u just don't get it :)
rupert parkes is da bizznizz, dont know why he's done all the house stuff coz it pales into insignifigence conpared to Modus/ Form and Function...he needs to come back and help us get along the road...........
It's got the elements of the original with Photek's surgically precise production style. Pretty sweet...had no idea he remixed this track until now. Not better than the original, but a solid piece from Mr. Parkes nonetheless.
Photek is a MASTER producer and pioneer. He is quite possibly the only producer of his magnitude. Every beat, every sample, every drop has an almost Zen-like purpose. I have never experienced music that centered me like this. There is no equal. Rupert Parkes is the man.
@jenovaprodigal theres a million photeks hes not the 1 but he is pretty damn good, maby hes the 1 for u, in wich case u should tell him, tell him 'how u make me feel'
you're out of your minds. Photek's a don. this crushes the original.. I mean really listen to the production, every slice is choice. every element of his break fits perfectly into the mix (and does on every photek track) he adds contemplative ambience / and a beautiful sense of space to everything he touches.
the pedestrian comment is laughable considering the original was just a couple of loops and 1 bar of vocal "eeeeeh".

A run-of-the-mill remix, which is generally what I expect from Photek anyway. It starts well with the niiiiice bass, but just does nothing interesting after that. C'mon, that snare business is so fucking pedestrian!
Photek is great, one of my favs and there is nothing wrong with this remix but I just didn't need to be done. The original was complete. I mean I heard this double-dropped with some jump-uppy tune and it was actually awesome but this is somewhat similar to the original in what emotions are conveyed from it.
Oh man this track brings back memories! i remember when i found it on napster back in the late 90's lol, was just blown away by roni's version, such an amazing track!

People who hate on Photek, don't understand his music. His sense of musical space, and his timing is superhuman.
