i agree she has done some amazing films, but i thought a bunch of them, The Missing, Veronica Guerin, Life Aquatic and especially Elizabeth the Golden Age were poor choices. Alot of the films she's in are ok films, but she's usually the best thing in them. Just my opinion tho.

Magnificent in "Benjamin Button". A lot of great best actress nominations this year, but she was terrific. If BB deserves 13 Academy Awards then she certainly deserves a best actress nod.

All right people. Come on, can't she make a statement without going out of this world in her choice of words. I think that honestly, if Paris Hilton wants to shed her 'stupid party girl' image, all she has to do is improve her vocabulary. I found myself reaching for the dictionary a couple of times.

i agree she has done some amazing films, but i thought a bunch of them, The Missing, Veronica Guerin, Life Aquatic and especially Elizabeth the Golden Age were poor choices. Alot of the films she's in are ok films, but she's usually the best thing in them. Just my opinion tho.

I don't know anyone in the industry who has a perfect CV. So, I think poor films will happen to every actor but it's the performances which make me stand up and take notice. Cate is an actress who elevates poor material, even that of TGA.

Really? You count Veronica Guerin, the Life Aquatic and the Missing as poor choices? They were good films and while she was amazing in all of them (loved the Life Aquatic), they stood well on their own.
