On this CD, there is a man who speakes at the end of this song, I was wondering if anybody knew who he was, and if they can link me to his full speech. Thanks, stay gospel.
Amazing Grace was a 2 night service and some lead vocals were overdubbed in the final mix that was released in 1972. This is from the COMPLETE re-release with Aretha's original vocal. This was released May 1999. Will they EVER release this on DVD because both nights were filmed.
Aretha's voice is truly touched by god.I remember My grandmother played this song on Sunday mornings when we were getting ready for church...I love it..Good Memories :-)
YESSSSSSSS!!!!! #DidHeMakeAWay?!?!....#DidYouMakeItOver?!?!...#AreYaGladAboutIt?!?!?!....#IsHeTheWheelInTheMiddle....#IsHeJustAJewelThatYouHaveFound?!??!...#IsHeYaDoctahWhenYaSick?!?!?...#IsHeYaFoodWhenYaHungry?!?!?!.......HEYYYYYYYYY.........You betta SANG 'Retha Louise!!!!! *throws shoe at computer*
@LastOfTheWilds920 Love this version!!! Aretha is the Queen. Funny enough, I love the version performed in the church scene with Rev. Flip Wilson on the movie "Uptown Saturday Night". The singer is referenced by Rev. Flip as "Sister Louise." Check that one out if you get a chance.
Here rendition of this and Precious Lord/ You've Got A Friend is perhaps my favorite of any one who did the songs. Not to mention What A Friend We Have In Jesus
i want this played at funeral !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
