  • "The Hitch hiker" would definitely top my list. Inger Stevens really draws you in with her slow descent into panic, and then her revelation at the end. Classic.

  • what about a stop over a quiet town and the little people?

  • Walking Distance will always be my favorite

  • I love it! Nicely done, Sir! (or Madam)

  • IT'S A COOKBOOK! Can you believe I had to learn about plot devices in 5th grade using this show? Showing a bunch of 10th graders Twilight Zone doesn't end well

  • To serve man is easily the most overrated episode of the series. The whole substance of the episode is built on a silly [English] pun.

  • Does anyone know the name of the episode where the couple gets on the train but its keeps bringing them back to the same place "Centerville" & the keep running from a big shadow? Thanks in advance!(:

  • @Hailey22xoxo Stopover in a Quiet Town

  • I always thought the ending of "Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up" was the low point of the episode. Part of it was predictable and part of it was just thrown in to make it seem unpredictable. Great buildup though...

  • These still shots are scary to me :> (

  • Midnight Sun had my favorite ending and Twilight Zone girls are so pretty.

  • I am a fan of the Twilight Zone and have every episode they made and I would say that The after Hours was the best!

  • Should come with a spoiler warning. Probe 7 over and out had a great ending.

  • A Stop at Willoughby and The After Hours were awesome. STill are.

  • HI does anybody know the name of a chapter on which a felon is being tried in another planet i think and at the end as pinushment he is sent to the earth and turns out this felon was Hitler

  • It's not really the ending that's so good, but I have always really liked William Shatner dealing with the gremlin on the airplane wing - although at the end you do see, and Rod Serling tells us, that people will discover the damage that the gremlin was doing, and will therefore believe the gremlin was real, and that makes you feel better.

  • i love will the real martian please stand up

  • To Serve Man belongs in the top five as an "Initial Viewing" only. After you've seen it the first time, the episode is really, really boring. The whole 30 minute episode is a rather monotonous setup for the shocking punchline.

  • It was fun to talk to Richard Kiel about his TZ episode "To Serve Man.' He was the tall alien guy. He said he was working on another project at the same time. He would get home by 11pm and have to be on the TZ set by 5am the next morning.

  • I vividly recalled Talking Tina. To the extent that when one of little girl's dolls suddenly starting talking one day when there was no one in my daughter's room. I threw the doll in the trash & took it out to the street - LOL. I told my little daughter some bizarre thing. Fortunately my daughter was only 2 yrs.old & accepted my explanation. My daughter is now 42 & I still haven't admitted what a wacko her Mother was. The only other one involced some African doll thing that they tried to burn.

  • @BiancaBeth ooh talk about the African doll :)

  • @BiancaBeth I've been looking for you!

I'm talky Tina....and I'm going to KILL YOU!

  • "Eye of the Beholder" is so predictable. Even back then I'm surprised no one figured it out.

  • What about the Maple street one what was it called

  • @TheGreatHuzzah The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street...good one =)

  • @t0mmyb0y75 yeah that one was epic i think it deserved to be in here

  • My top 3 Twilight Zones:

    1. To Serve Man

    2. The Invaders

    3. Eye of the Beholder

  • @GreekFood08 Agreed. To Serve Man has the best ending ever. Should've been at least in top 3!

  • @t0mmyb0y75 Did you know that to server man was actualy based on a book.....and my favorite twilight zone episode was "its a good life"

  • @Keviproductions It's A Good Life is a classic. The whole birthday party scene may just be the most tense sequence TZ ever put out.

  • @t0mmyb0y75 To Serve Man is my favorite episode by far! But i dont agree w/that top 30 listat all! Or the top 25 endings!

  • i need these on blu-ray. but im only 14 and their like 50 bucks per season. -_- I love this show though. i got hooked on it like last year when there was a marathon on syfy. my friends always make fun of me cause i watch a show thats in black and white, but honestly, its one of the best series ive ever watched.

  • Quality TV they just dont do this superb stuff anymore.

  • Long Distance Call, The Invaders, It's A Good Life, and many others...

  • I also loved the "Night of the Meek"

  • There were I think two or more episodes of TZ with Burgess Meredith in them, he is such a good actor, and he played the Original Penguin in the 1960's Batman TV show.

  • "The Invaders" is number one on my list.

  • The one that scared the hell out of me was Night Call, that was shocking.

  • @43cdc Booty Call is what scared me. I had one once and oh, OMG! Scary. They expect you to do it, too....

  • I don't know the episode names very well what's the one where a ship is gunned down and the person who gunned it is actually on the ship and is serving his sentence in hell by reliving that night over and over again, never having any memory but the time when the ship would be bombed?

  • @aslan1121 I think that one was called "judgement night"

  • I love Twenty - Two and Queen of the Nile, episodes.

    And their endings too.

  • Oh my! I really loved the TZ series when I was young! Can I actually watch the entire episodes here? Where can I watch them? please help! thanx

  • @LaCosmiatradetuMami many people still upload it on YouTube type "nikonparvini" in the search box he/she has many epasodes of TZ

  • @jasondrboy Thanx!

  • 0:03 ogaboogabooga

  • I think I'm the only TZ fan who wasn't absolutely in love with 'Time Enough at Last'. But excellent number 1 pick! Also love the Obsolete Man.

  • #8 was the best ending I ever saw in Twilight Zone

  • twilightzoneepisodes. com

  • damn this vid gave away the ending to eye of the beholder

  • It seems like half of Hollywood actors and actresses got their start on Twilight Zone.

  • I would like to add a very funny TZ episode: Showdown With Rance McGrew. It's about a phony baloney cowboy actor who takes on Jesse James on his TV show and then gets the surprise visit of his life from the real Jesse James. Seems Jesse and a few of his old west outlaw friends in the hereafter didn't like how Rance was always beating them on T.V. and wanted to do something about it. So they send the real Jesse James to teach him a lesson.

  • I think honorable mention should go to:

    -Escape Clause.

    -Living Doll.

    -One For the Angels.

  • For me, my top picks for best endings are (not spoilers dont worry lol):

    5. A nice place to visit- Even though I have watched it like 10,000 times, it's still an awesome twist.

    4. The Dummy- funny and scary at the same time.

    3. A most unusual camera- pretty good plot and funny ending.

    2. The Arrival- Awesome storyline and the end is just breathtaking.

    1. Night Call- Eerie and kinda spooky all the through the end.

This was a nice countdown too.

  • I hate thing ending to It's a Good Life lol

  • Am I the only one who's ever seen Two? It's a good episode! Why does no one else like it?

  • anyone remember the name of that really annoying Twilight Zone episode that ended with only stills and no actual footage?

  • @SteadfastInSound A Kind of Stopwatch

  • @pieces11 Woosh

  • @SteadfastInSound Good grief it's this one.

  • @SteadfastInSound ROTFLMBAO man so funny ... I watched this like WTF?!?!?

  • there's a lot of spoiler.. why ?!

  • I'm a big fan of "A Hundred Yards Over the Rim" - great time travel episode!

  • What was the one where William Shatner stops in a cafe with his wife and he and his wife become captivated with a little coin operated devil device on the table that tells them their future.

  • @Thundralight The Nick of Time I think is what it was called.

  • My fave entire episode was Two. Such strong message, with such little dialog.

  • A Stop At Willoughby is my favorite

  • the ending of Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up was such hardcore trolling :D

Guy, talking to the barkeeper: I'm a martian, I was responsible for all those weird occurences and my planet's going to start colonies here. *evil laugh*

barkeeper: well, too bad. I'm from Venus, we already did that and we killed your whole species.

    LOL, U MAD?? :D

  • "The Masks" and "Eye of the Beholder" and "The Long Morrow" . . . are great humanistic endings.

I rate them higher than "cute" endings like "To Serve Man".

  • No Ring-A-Ding Girl or The Jeopardy Room?

  • 1:06 the dewil eye is red

  • YAY! An Occurence at Owl Creek Bridge! We watched this in Com.Arts the other day. And I think The Jungle should be in there!

  • PLEASE READ!

I have been trying to find the twilight zone episode where there is a man and he keeps shrinking and gets smaller and smaller and eventually leaves his wife. They say he went into some fog which made him shrink. If you know what i am talking about, please help solve my problem! Thanks in advance!

  • @PwnageDropshots It's a Movie called "The Incredible Shrinking Man" from 1957 I think not a TZ Episode unfortunately

  • @oldtilter ok, thank you very much. my relative said it was a twilight zone episode, lol!

  • OMG!!!!!! this just blew my mind!!!!!!! I was laughing so hard through out the whole video! Keep posting more videos..!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE:]

  • He's alive was ultimate, and of course I can never forget THE MIDNIGHT SUN and the best Twilight Zone episode in my opinion - THE HOWLING MAN.

  • # 1 is my favorite episode of all time!!!! tht ending wass ssooooooo shockingg the first time i watched. bt eye of the beholder wass good nd talking tina!!

  • Damn I loved this show.

"To Serve Man" and "Time Enough At Last" were such great endings.

  • the last one?

  • How on earth can you come up with 25 endings and NOT have the ending for the HITCH HIKER on here? I mean, that ending STILL sends chills up and down my spine.

"I believe you're going....... MY way."

  • you should show little peices of the video for this. that's just lame.

  • BEST show ever....

  • To Serve Man is a brilliant ending

  • lol,i love #1 that was a good ending! ;p

  • The Eye Of The Beholder Is #1 for me

  • pacman in #3 background

  • I was hoping to see "they have no choice". up in that list too, but all and all nice job.

  • You've missed the Bewitchin' Pool - that should be in the top 5 at least!

It's the one where the little boy and girl are tired of their parents arguing, so they jump into their pool to get attention (I think) and when they put their heads back up to the surface, their in a countryside river.

    That episode was AWESOME!

  • @mrspacman0dontripit The little girl in that episode was the same girl who played Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird.

  • The Howling Man was kept by a religious order.

  • i almost cried at the part when that guy who loved to read broke his glasses.

  • oh shizit hitler iz alive in an episode !

  • How is To Serve Man not on this? No one saw that ending coming!

  • @jg0317 it is here its number 9 dumbass

  • @tekkenfan5 Oh... Never mind then!

  • nice.

  • I believe the episode "The Last Flight" has the coolest ending of any TZ episode ever! You better sit down "Old Ledbottom"

  • OMG you forgot the passersby and the midnight sun!! those two have the BEST endings..they are my favs :)

  • @JaYnEsAyZ I agree, the Midnight Sun is one of my favorite episodes ever and the ending was out of nowhere.

  • @devilchild8389 heh, Global Warming theme about 30 years before the term was invented. Anyway best TZ twist end? The end of either one of "The Monsters are due On Maple Street" or "To Serve Man" and my fav, the one that inspired Toy Story... "Five Characters in search of an exit".

  • OMG is the hot guy at 0:52 Robert Redford?

  • yep!

  • @Kubrick86Warhol Yes it was.

  • @Kubrick86Warhol - Yes, that IS Robert Redford. He plays the Grim Reaper in an episode called "Nothing in the Dark." Great episode.

  • the first time i saw eye of the beholder i shat my pants

  • @tylerratooo123 I shat two pairs.

  • Wow, The Dummy, nor Living Doll on there? you should be ashamed.

  • "My name is Talky Tina... and you'd better be nice to me!"

  • What about the After Hours I loved the twist at the end of that one and someone else said the Hitch hiker great ending to that too

  • I love the shelter..

  • MINE IS THE HITCH HIKER

  • The best ending for me is the one from The masks.

Anyway my compliment,a big fan of the series from italy.

  • # 23, # 5 , Howling Man great one too !!!

  • Im shocked nobody mentioned episodes like "Back There", "The 7th Is Made Up Of Phantoms" and "The Dummy". These 3 episodes are definitely my Top 10.

  • any 1 know about the new outer limits theres an eposode iev been looking 4 but cant find ,i dont know the name

  • Actually, this the Top 25 Best Endings of Rod Serling's Twilight Zone series, the most popular show on television in the early 1960's..

  • A most unsual camera had a great lesson to it, greed cant make you happy, I let my little sister watch it and its not the scariest TZ episode

  • sorry i dont watch the show that much .. but what was the episode where the guy worked for the government or something and he was going to tell his family it was going to be a nuclear holocaust (or something lol) and then at the end they were like in a flying saucer saying they were going to a new planet called earth .

if anyone knows please message me thanks i loved that episode

  • Third From the Sun

  • I think The Invaders and The Midnight Sun had the most shocking, unexpected twist endings of all TZ episodes. At the end of The Invaders me and my sister were yelling at the TV for about 15 minutes (and that's a compliment).

  • I love the ending to The Silence!

  • can some one help me out.?

now i believe its a twilight zone episode where

a man is out in the woods or something like that and

he goes in to a castle like thing , with a little community living their , and then "king" of that castle

has captured the devil , but the wondering man lets him out cause he didn't believe the "king"...so few years pass and then man went searching for the devil and captured him and had him in a closet but then a hotel maid , let him out....

    anyone know the name?

  • The Howling Man

  • I can verify what Pieces said. It is the Howling Man. A very strong episode indeed !

  • @kerstmanneke82 I guess, if you believe in the devil. I thought that it was silly, even when I saw it at ten years of age.

  • loved the ending of time enough at last

  • to serve man was the best ever, and eye of the beholder was also really good.

  • 0:51 :)

    cool

  • This silent video made me creep out. I haven't seen the ending to Masks, and AH!

  • **Contains SPOILERS**

Two of my favorite endings are from Stopover in a Quiet Town (when the big hand comes down and picks up the couple - why does no one ever mention this freaky episode?!) and Person or Persons Unknown (when the guy wakes up and has a different wife). Oh yeah, and The Midnight Sun ending! That ending is what makes the episode a classic.

  • "A World of His Own" is probably my favorite twist ending.

    ** SPOILER ALERT! **

I kind of figured that the wife was a fictional character, but when he pulls out the envelope with Rod Serling's name on it, I was just like, "Holy Shit!" X-D

  • I agree there are some good ones missing here. The Hitchhiker, where Nan comes to the train tracks; Night Caller, with that long shot of Gladys Cooper on the tall, empty under-the-bedness scene. Brian's grave with the phone line in it. Anthony is scary because there are adults just like him; not magic or whatever, but such deeply controlling & childish nature dominates with fear, not respect. I wonder what's actually in the cornfield? Could be cool? If we knew, Aunt Amy might've split his skull!

  • what about midnight sun, the seventh is made up of phantoms a hundred yards over the rim,The Hunt? and in the new series, cradle of darkness?

  • Totally agree bro #1 For sure

  • brings a chill down my back..great show..

  • what about queen of the nile ?

  • I didn't see the gremlin on the airplane episode.

  • night call is kinda freaky pretty much all of them are

  • I thought "Living Doll" should havebeen on there.Where tha doll killz tha Dad and tha Mom finds out that tha doll really iz crazy lmfao

  • "Living Doll" scared me so much I was sometimes afraid to go into my room where my dolls were. And "Eye of rhe Beholder" freaked me out. I saw them both when I was little, orignal broadcast I think.

  • Know I'm going to get in b-i-g trouble here, but Billy Mumy needed to have his backside spanked, and there should have been a way for all those people to finally get one over on and rid of him at the same time. That 'child' made me so angry, it's sad that there was no one able to take him on.

  • The Masks should have been in the top 10, that was awesome

  • it's a cookbook!

  • Talky Tina was funny, should be in the top 5 at least. :)

  • does anyone watch the new episodes on MYTV? Out of those I love "other life"

  • #21 (The Masks) is the best ending :D

  • its a good life was the first ep i saw though i think i saw the newer one kuz the kid in that ep had glasses

  • "Five characters..." should be #1, without question.

  • I have that picture from will the real martian please stand up in my room.

  • my favorite ending was "a game of pool" you didnt see it coming, and i appreciated it for days after i saw it. it was so clever! also "The passerby" had a great ending. and "what you need" should be in the top ten. that was great. "the masks" was way too obvious to be a good ending.

  • i gotta say that the after hours had a pretty good ending and so did the talking tina one.

  • A Stop at Willoughby and Third from the sun were my fave endings,

    awesome list pieces11!

    :-)

  • The silence,The Obsolete man,"Martian".

A nice place to visit,I believe to be #1..."This IS the other place"...Great!

  • A pretty good list there but I wouldn't of chosen "Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up" as #1. I'd of chosen 'A Nice Place to Visit', 'The Howling Man' or 'Time Enough At Last'. I liked the video though.

  • There are so many more but this is a good start.

  • Yep, that is one of my favorites. I also like The Obsolete Man, seems that the reality of that episode is right around the corner, lol.

  • What about the jeopardy room, I love that one.

  • is that the one about the bomb in the telephone? i love that one i wanna watch it again!

  • you forgot : old man in the cave

  • I very much disliked "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?"

I like a lot of the others on your list though.

  • nightmare at 20,000 feet...

    KAHNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

  • lol i figured someone would say that

  • nervous man in a four dollar room???

  • I like the ending to "Mr. Garrity and the Graves", even if you could see it coming.

  • I do think "The Hunt" should at least be top 25 great ending!

  • Living Doll "Talking Tina" with Telly Savalas. You forgot that one!

  • ohhohoho that was a good one.

    Couldn't sleep that night.

  • I'm Talking Tina and I don't think I like you.

  • Kick The Can -- a major oversight

  • To Serve Man was the best one i think

  • TIME ENOUGH AT LAST,

    really an Epic.

  • Loved the inclusion of some of the "forgotten" (or at least not as mentioned) epis such as "The Silence" or "An Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge"

  • Best line in Twilight Zone history ever.... IT'S A COOKBOOK!

  • I love Masks, Eye of the beholder, To serve man and The Silence. They are 4 of my favorites.
