I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old ferrari Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
This beats the crap out of seeing a car being started and revved up in some motor show. At the end of the day it's just a car - drive it and drive it properly!
adamu328: what happens if its the only car of that manufacturer or that model? and you somehow crash it or someone crashes into you? yea, theres the dilema (or other things I didn't list)
Hi Alexander1485, I get your point. What if it's the last tim-tam in the packet? Or the last bottle of (insert name of your favourite red wine) in the world?
Like I said before it's a car and built to be driven. That means that at some sad time there will be none left because sh#te happens and people don't always check both ways before pulling out into the road.
