i had a mate who was burned in a car accident and his face was disfigured but his whole personality changed, he became an alcoholic and would pick fights with people then he became a racist and would shout abuse, i stood by him and because people discriminated him it made him racist so i had a long chat with him told him it's wrong when the bullied become the bully and he's sought help and is getting on with his life despite being called a freak or A MINGER.

it's sad that our human nature have qualifications of beauty. Why when we see a disfigure face like this we badly react ? simple, i think it's because we don't see much of disfigure people around. Imagine at least 10% of the people are disfigure, the prejudice would be falling a lot more.

the problem is that, when you see someone like this and you aren't like him ( you are beautiful and have friends), majoritarely you'll have a bad reaction. But if you see someone like this and you are also suffering of a disfigurement form, then you'll be happy and/or more confident because you know there's someone else living the same problem as you.

If you don't want tohave a bad reaction, just love him as you love yourself.

I think that the more public disfigurement is made, the more people will realise that it doesn't actually matter. My mother is a carer for people with learning disabilities (who often look different), some of the public she meets believe the people she takes care of should be hidden away, and allowing them outside, and allowing them to have fun in public is exploitation, but it's not. It's allowing them to have the same life as everyone else. People should be equal, appearance is irrelevant.
