  • Shout out to that guitarist. It is HARD to shred on an acoustic, and he nailed it. + that solo was beast

  • FOREVER GRUNGE ECKS DEE PETER'S A FAG

  • simplemente BESTIAL...

  • forever grunge....

  • Yes!!!

  • why the fuck is marlyn manson in the fucking suggestions as if he was in any way as good or related to this good music

  • Comment removed

  • Criticism BAHHHHHHH!!!! Nevertheless great song ! remarkable sound ! I just wish more bands should come foward, the music industry defenitely needs sounds like this one for the 2012 and years forward!!

  • Help me get off the ground.

  • sounds like no quarter from led zep

  • They're playing the "Ink Life Tour" Tattoo & Music Festival in Ft. Myers, FL at the beginning of March. Should be interesting, if nothing else.

  • always wondered what kinda future they woulda had, damn, dope is a motherfucker!!!

  • Touch, Peel, and Stand? I'm confused... either way, great tune

  • @SgtNutMeg Those words are used throughout the song. Also, I'm sure it alludes to the meaning behind the song, which I haven't pinpointed yet. I've heard it was about a sexual relationship or just an abusive one.

  • GREAT music!

  • 2:27 so hot.

  • jesse and some other boys, like brian and conneticuts cat..kind of a slash bateman slater dude...who am I?

    a dead guy. Most possibly.

  • Acoustic to the Core, the music make me remember the good time.

  • The Root Cause out of Chicago reminds me of Days of the New a lot. I like the song Common Man. I think there is only a live performance up, but it's pretty good.

  • sexiest fuckers ever.

  • i cant exactly remember how many grunge band in 90's. they got good taste music. there was a lot of them. e.g. nirvana, hole, marcy playground, our lady peace, no doubt, cake, REM, the flys, gin blossoms, sponge, the offspring, the cranberries, toadies, spacehog, local h, bush, black lab, stlitskin, garbage, filter, cracker, stone temple pilots, etc......

  • @gensterize Very few of those bands are "grunge", and neither is this. It's good nonetheless, but this is post-grunge, fits in with such bands as Creed, Bush, Live, STP, etc., not with Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, etc.

  • @choppergrumbles have to agree with you there, It's not "grunge" but still fucking awesome...

  • @oOinsertusernameOo meeks himself refers to it as kinda grunge. i dislike the idea of genres but have to agree with the writer

  • @jimibones83 Well there you go, my point exactly being kinda something doesn't make it so. eg if you were to walk down the street wearing a dress (not saying you would) that would make you kinda a girl... doesn't make it so though. But hey, that's just my opinion. This conversation I could do with nice cold brew... Beer anyone? :D

  • @oOinsertusernameOo yeah but male or female is obvious fact and style is debatable opinion. therefor in my opinion, the best authority in this case would be the creator, and i think he considers it grung or at least closer to grunge than anything else. i agree with him. it makes me feel the same way i feel when i listen to nirvana unplugged or AIC unplugged, but like i said, its opinion. either way i think we agree that it kicks ass:)

  • @choppergrumbles Well what exactly makes a band "grunge"? Not that it's really important but I feel if this band were from Seattle and this song were released in 1991 it would fit right in...

  • @NewRock001 u r correct sir, this is grunge

  • @NewRock001 You are 100% right... However classification of genres have changed as new offshoots of Grunge appear. You could group them all together i guess but as choppergrumbles pointed out you wouldn't call bush or creed grunge. I think this is a little too soft for Grunge, If that were the case throw out the term "rock" or "soft rock" and just call all bands who fit the description grunge... As popular music progresses it will always change slightly i think this is one example...

  • Good song but I like Tantric better.

  • @Blastking21 fag

  • Travus Meeks, to me, in this song sounds like Eddie & Layne. Love this song by the way, my cousins introduced me to it a few days ago & I've been trying to get to know the band.

  • Jack Sparrow?

  • Bring. Grunge. Back.

  • so sad Meth killed another great artists career

  • @MeRae68 just found out today, he's going on tour this summer ;) with the ink life tour

  • How didn't know you rock so hard on a acoustic like that

  • Music is music. It doesn't matter what era it was or wasn't part of. Just listen and enjoy... And if you can't enjoy it, don't listen.

  • Great song, great band. Too bad the singer turned into a junky and f*** it up. Wish they were still around.

  • this is a good song, people just hate on this because they were not part of the original grunge bands.

  • epic

  • Metal Evolution brought me here.

  • worst band of the 90's

  • @MadVladmcPantz in your opinion. but opinions only mean something when its a lot, your just one so it doesn't mean crap. obviously many disagree or they wouldn't have made it as far as they did.

  • @NGP989 Days of the New, Creed, Nickleback and all those other post grunge shit bands can suck it. When Cobain died, Soundgarden disbanded and Perl Jam were having some issues the record companies need something else to make them money. So what they did they got any group who had drug issues or is emotionaly sensitive to lead on the grunge movement. This is just a shit band. I know many people who agrees with me.

  • @MadVladmcPantz i respect when people voice their opinion but keep that negitive shit to yourself dude we dont come here to see people putting bands down you dont like em dont go to their videos......

  • @dabear1617 learn to ignore.

  • @NGP989 I'm 100% positive that most grunge pioneers agree with him...

  • @MadVladmcPantz Wow, you're obviously some trolling 13 year old kid.

  • @photonguy69 No I'm 22 and all I did was voiced my opinion on them. This band was terrible crap. Just because some says something negative doesn't always make them a troll. douche.

  • @MadVladmcPantz You're expressing you're opinion as fact. Just cause someone calls someone else on some preachy b.s. doesn't always make them a douche.

  • @photonguy69 He called me some 13 year old kid. I don't think some 13 year old knows who Days of the New is.

  • haha right!

  • @MadVladmcPantz there are a few youngsters who know these guys. i've been listening to some of these guys stuff since i was 7. and that was 8 years ago....

  • Long Live The 90s

  • this band has such a great sound, but their lyrics are waay too subliminal, and weird. they should modify their lyrics..

  • Metal Evolution?

  • Um..."Angel Dust" is pcp ...not the same thing as crystal meth . Oh and dotn rox xD

  • Can anyone say "Corporate Brainwashing"?

  • @WynselG Can anyone say "Cynical Idiot"?

  • im happy for this band and the singer Travis Meeks becasue he was adicted to meth (angle dust) for a good time and gets a intervention and gets his life together

  • tight, hard-hitting lyrics. driving rhythm. miss this band

  • i cant stop listening to this song, love his voice.

  • one of the sickest solos of all time in my opinion

  • I love having sex to this song.

  • @MarcieFoster suuuuuuuure...

  • love this song.

  • To the people how thinks DOTN Sounds UnOriginal. You Have to Check Out There Other Songs Like Weapon and the Wound or Dancing with the wind and What's Left For Me.

  • He was in intervention and bow he's clean they started touring again and r writing music

  • The singer was a bad ass, he kicked everyone's ass that was in band-- right before they split----- anybody know what he is doing now ?

  • @2323giggity for starters, he didn't do that. Get it right. And right now, he's starting to tour.

  • just found out that they started this band literally 3 minutes from my house. how have i never heard this song until now

  • Thumbs up if you know that Travis Meeks has asperbers (I do too).

  • i'm super blazed and this song just came into my head. I love how the 90s dudes sang.

  • @likeleahg

because it is almost inate for most people to click on the second video and ignore the first since it is vevo.

  • travis meeks > everything

  • Thanks VEVO !! i was just about to forget to watch rihanna !!

  • best acoustic band of all time!

  • @talakev92 yeah dude, i wouldnt go as far as to say that.

  • @talakev92 Hasn't heard of Rodrigo y Gabriela.

  • wow I saw this classified as hard rock.. and as that it is not... and I am not a fan

  • @sacrublood It's probably more post grunge. He sounds so much like Chris Cornell....Crazy!!!

  • @goodvibesallround But, he doesn't sound that much like Chris Cornell....

  • I saw the lead singer(Travis) on Intervention last year. Anyone know how he made out?

  • @Jen22w That was from 06 I think. He's been sober for almost 5 years now and is still performing and making music.

  • Good god, he's fucking sexy.

  • @madyrenee22 Absolutely! His eyes are beautiful!

  • did this song the other night at karaoke.

  • muuuuuito bom!

  • Travis is my uncle

  • Travis, I hope your still clean bro... keep fighting!

    -Dan

  • FFS this makes me feel so damn old.

  • simple reason why it doesnt have 10million views its a complex song and it doesnt have a voice modulator for lead,..... it has a band not synthesizer music. i feel bad for the generation coming up cause they are being force fed crap for music nothing real just electronic crap.

  • wow i know this song how surprising! shot nicole u brought me here...

  • i get so pissed off at work when this dude listens to the rock station because i love country not most of the new stuff, but i cant complain when this song comes on the radio, a bad ass song

  • I didnt know Nicole was part of this group.. I have liked this group since Mid 90's.. I like Nicole more now too.. Rock on Nicole..

  • Thumb up if NICOLE brought you here

  • @jozef1 Who the fuck is NICOLE?

  • @FunnyHomieVideos Nicole scherzinger used to be the vocalist of the band years ago, as she said in the X-Factor show.

  • @jozef1 She was only a backup vocalist, for 1 year... Quit thinkin with your johnson.

  • I love this song. His voice is absolutely amazing. :D

  • Because Days Of The New fans will definitely buy Mary Blige.

  • I came to check this out because Nicole Sherzinger mentioned on X Factor that she was in this band! I don't see her in the video though, do you? Awesome song!

  • @rionrustle i just looked it up, she was a backup singer for them in the mid 90s, but then she fronted the pussycat dolls later, I didnt know that!

  • I love Days of the new... but i need some info can anyone tell me how many albums they have made cause i know the first one and then they go 2 and 3 but i remember somthing about colors ? how many albums are there? any information would be awesome thanx !

  • @georgeman21222 The Wikipedia page about the band has accurate information as far as their discography is concerned, there are the 3 released albums that you mentioned as well as a Best Of album. The fourth has been in production for years and still doesn't have a release date. Not much else is known about it though...

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of the main things that stood out with this album was that it was accoustic, which was not how similar bands did things. Vocals, lyrics, and music we are well done, but that accoustic sound brought a gathering of close friends feel to the band, which I still enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Danzig Junkie, and I get into hardcore music a bit, too, having grown up on 80s metal, but I will always have a spot for the grunge genre that was the spawn of my generation. Loving Days of the New!

  • Come to show your support and love for Travis at our new FB Tribute page for the latest updates on Purple and tour dates on Facebook at Travis Meeks - The Multi-Talented Maestro Meeks

  • the lead singer of this band was on the show intervention

  • This was simply very generic post-grunge pop. Record companies were just cashing in on the grunge trend by this point in the late '90s. The meaning, purpose and artistic merit of the movement was gone, but guys like these stood to make lots of money with their drop-D tunings and Layne Staley impersonations.

  • @MegaCrasher3000 Umm, if anything it's Eddie Vedder vocal sound. Though, of course, it's all Jim Morrison's vocal sound, if we're actually going to even go there.

  • god this sux

  • @OCIRELCNU

    Why do you think so?

  • @ProblematicIdea you guys need to stop listening to the radio, it fkn sux. This guy has that cliche voice that has been plaguing this country for 10-15 years.

  • @OCIRELCNU

Cliche means something that's overdone or predictable. I fail to see how his voice is overdone or predictable. Can you please provide evidence that his voice is cliche. The only real way to do this, is to give me examples of singers who sing just like him. Also, in terms of singing. What is a style of singing that's NOT cliche. Give an example.

  • @ProblematicIdea /watch?v=PXh0FCezRoc

there are some musical genious's in this world. 95 percent of what is played on popular radio, at least in america are no where near genious.

  • @OCIRELCNU

Oh. I get it. You're a troll. Makes sense. Since your argument didn't really make any sense at all.

  • @ProblematicIdea this song is troll

  • NOOOO!!!!!!! HE CUT HIS HAIR!!!!!!!!!

  • this song hit's home for me

  • im from the same small town as them charlestown ind. we smked tuff in them days

  • The 1st day this album came out, I bought the CD at K-mart....HAHA

  • This is my shit!

  • travis meeks was on intervention? hmm a rock star on meth so surprising.

  • @champion798 Meth actually sorta is... Heroine, coke, hallucinogenics, all are common as hell, but usually they don't get into meth...

  • good song , good vid

  • How does this video not have like 10,000,000 views yet???

  • @ilikeleahg im working on it hold on

  • @ilikeleahg vevo took of the version with heaps of views that played and replaced it with this version that is very slow to load with no views

  • @ilikeleahg cause it sucks anal hole.... ha!!

  • @ilikeleahg Because of zombie puppies taking over Rhode Island

  • @ilikeleahg Because it isnt mainstream Pop-Vomit

  • @ilikeleahg consider yourself lucky to be one of the privelleged 1,074,987.

  • The lead singer was on the show "Intervention" on A&E.

  • touch me touch me

  • Have I misled you? Have I spoken to some other thing than your king? Will I ever make myself clear?

  • Cant edit the past, yet I can however make a future for myself.

  • Whatever upsets me is the thing I seek. I wont let it phase me but will count its worth. . . Then I will know that the thing is profitable and have a reason to speak to myself. Understand that I am not speaking to myself in the first person, but trying to understand what provoked me to thought.

  • The hairstyalist who didnt know how to throw a fade until shes realized that it was the fade that was named fade.

  • Who knows Bud who know Coke? I would like to meet you. I have a thing in mind, it comes at a cost, and its the credit of pinball machines that I reason with! Lets throw a party man. PRenupt isnt what im talking about but whatever dude. HELLO LADY hahah. Good ass song.

  • Alice in Chains? whoa.. nah..really NAH..

  • I SWEAR I thought this was by Staind when I first heard it

  • @Ayannafuckingnichole: It sounds nothing like Staind.

  • I just saw his intervention episode as posted earlier, wow so sad , atleast he got sober, is he still?

  • why didnt God created me with a voice like this!!!!

his voice just hits every nerve in me with every tone he sings!!!

  • Porra de comercial da Intel. Maldita empresa!!!

  • One of, if not the best album that come out in the 90's...

Pity the boat sank too quickly.

Ah, I miss the 90's grunge scene..

  • I was 28 when Nirvana released Nevermind. By far, the best album of the decade. The bar at the Hard Rock in Amsterdam used to have a shrine to it on the wall.

  • Currently watching the episode of intervention with the lead singer of this band, i agree with @upindust, its definitely sad that he let meth ruin his life.

  • @MissSoDamnBored For sure and I guess he was the one who found Mike Starrs body too (former bassist for Alice in Chains) . They were supposed to go on tour together. Woulda been a good tour too.

  • Oh my... He looks.. great in this video (I<3the90's)

I've listened to this song a million times but just now watched the vid.

    Yum!

  • Hardest acoustic song ever!

  • The moral to this video - you CAN become a skinhead , even if you're a Seattle grunge kid!

  • thats what this song is about is drug use man

  • kind of sad that meth is what interrupted their progress (am watching the episode of intervention where the singer is on it). I'm hoping that everything gets back on track and the success picks up where it shouldn't have left off.

  • I remember turning on K-Rock on my walkman in J.H.S. and HATED music like this playing all the damn time. SO boring, I was frustrated not hearing any Metallica, Korn, LimbBiz, System of a Down ect.... so yea, I was into heavier music. But now, this don't sound so bad now that I'm 26.

  • @TheGIMP2k k-rock i wish we a hard station in new york radio sucks here now

  • This Song Kicks Ass,

  • I saw this guy on an episode of intervention. Apparently the lead singer blew all of his money on meth. Sad, because they did make some pretty great music.

  • Imagen if their was a grunge band that was excursively unplugged

  • One of the last great bands of the 90's original lineup of course

  • Gosh Darnit Vevo i want to watch a rock music video! That means I dont want it to have anything to do with Rihanna
