  • The Best way to wrap s truly with the YOFO. This is the most useful gadget for your phone! yofo.com

  • that is all i need.

  • This is painful to watch.

  • Use this method if you want your headphones to break a lot faster.

  • this is likely to ruin headphones

cables should never be wrapped tightly

either flipcoil them or better yet, store them in a small box

  • nice.

  • hell yeah, I'll never forget thi... *looks over to suggested video "How to see through clothing", click*

  • HOW DO U TAKE CARE OF UR HEADSET. PLZ REPLY

  • Thanks so much very helpful!

  • Awesome video, thanks. I have 2 pairs of earbuds and I'm trying to keep my desk organized. I'm pretty sure that nothing will happen to the wire inside of it as long as I'm careful.

  • you're gonna break the wires inside it...

  • will this damage the wires inside and the wires near the jack?

  • here is a great head phone wrap, the Yofo...

    yofo.com

  • so many stupid people *facepalm*

  • Те, кто поставил плюс этому видео не смогли догадаться до этого сами? Это печально :(

  • This is.. AMAZING!!!

  • well i know one thing wrapping them around the ipod just damages the jack take from someone who is through 3 good pair of headphones

  • yay, another technique to unnaturally fatigue the wires in my earbuds so that they break sooner!

  • cool technique, i just don't understand why it's soooooo important to you to point out that those are ipod headphones.

  • @divad11100 It's the kind a lot of people use, considering you get them free when you buy an iPod, so most people would probably search how to wrap them up more then other kinds. :)

  • Ever since I watches this, have been doing it this way. Its so much neater and less irritating to unwrap them.

  • @blake12689 probably because those are the most known and most used headphones.

  • step 1 clump it up

step 2 throw it in your pocket

  • Why would 300,000 + people need to watch something so pointless... then I realized that I'm watching this too... *sigh*

  • @ggrrowler It's far from pointless, this saved my life

  • i cant do it that fucking neatly :\

  • thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wrap the same way yayay!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well, surprisingly enough, this applies to all cables, cords, laces etc. Not only for iPod headphone cables. Intriguing, ain't it? LOL

  • okay but how can we do this with skull candy lowriders...they are headphones that fit on the outside of ur ear..not inside.. >.< no one shows how to saftly and neatly wrap those

  • @quint0nJ You can use this method on Head phones as-well.

  • Thank you so much for the help. It's usually a pain in the arse to handle headphones sometimes but you made the overall process a heck of a lot easier.

  • wtf I fucked this up so many times haha

  • I love you~ MARRY ME <3

  • Thats what i do:D

  • Finally! I love you man (not in a gay way but the you're so awesome, you saved my life way)

  • does this work with iBeats

  • I thought this was common knowledge! iI should upload a video on how to lick a envelope.

  • q BAINA TAN MARICA

  • This method introduces puts the core under tensile stress -- which when done repeatedly would eventually cause it it yield. Hence shortening the life of your earbuds.

  • @nfwu u r a faggot

  • OLOLOLOLOLOLLLLLL!!1one

  • there are headphones no shoes ties.... don't do that your gonna break your cable inside to pull it.

  • Don't do it to iPod headphones. They're going to break either way. I wrap my headphones around my player then I unplug the jack to it doesn't stretch.

  • miniwinder does this but much better.

  • thank you, this helped a lot

  • I have used the same headphones for 4 years now and wrapping them like shown here. I cannot see how it could break the headphones. There is practically no wear to the surface and the cord inside is safe. Of course using a hard container would be better.

  • best way ever to tie up headphones but if they break in a month im blaming u LOL:)

  • thats almost the worst way to wind up you ear phones,

no knots, but it wil be broken whitin the month

    youtube.com/watch?v=d4a0Y_92YjQ

  • I did the same first step as you do, just wrapping it around my 4 fingers except I do it with the whole entire wire to make an oval, then I just stuff it in my pocket. The thing is that when I take them back out and their all tangled, it was about a year later until my $10 headphones broke. I just bought some $150 monster headphones and I'm not going to be doing that again, would this method work though? It looks like you're putting tention on the wires tying//untying it.

  • Give this person the Nobel Prize for Common Sense.

  • Thanks ;)

  • Wrong technique, you are breaking your earbuds doing that! You should never kink the wire.

  • @rollex2 i've been doing that technique for many years and never messed up any headphones. i've been doing it that way for so long that i probably invented that technique...i just never made any instructional videos about it.

  • lol needed this...i always stuff it to my pocket when i go to school and one of the earphone sometimes dangle out of the pocket..

  • never gonna work plus you are tying a knot in them when you wind the end inside the loop. the instant you stick them in your pocket all hell breaks loose.

  • @emotevlog not really.

  • doesn't work

tried this method for about 4 months

one of the sides doesnt work anymore and took them back to the store. i showed them how i tied it (like so) and they laughed at me...

  • @jhwj9617 hahhahah

  • @jhwj9617 lol idiot...

  • simple...yet effective lol

  • You are kinking the wire. I am embarresed for you.

  • You are kinking the wire.

  • Thanks. 5*

  • Thanks for this tip. I had a similar way of wrapping cables but I must say, yours is better. I will use yours in the future

  • lol,.. denon or monster beats by doctor dre are much better than scullcandy... sorry :D

  • What you say is true, Dr. Dre's are really good. But quite expensive. Im too much of a commoner lol, SkullCandy TiTans =D 40$

  • Skullcandy headphone are the best nice and loud :-)

  • You speak truth grasshopper.

  • this is from howcast..

  • Thanks for this :)  Mines not as neat as yours but its close :P 

  • I'm trying to do that, but it doesn't work for some reason :(

  • my skullcandy inked broke but i had a lifetime waranty on them so i sent them the broken ones today and they said that they will sent me a new pair for free. :) inked are realy good and has alot of bass!!! no lie its like booming bass and u can feel it in your head :)

  • I know right? And if your MP3 player has a custom Equalizer, you can make your eyeballs pound! My eyes have actually blurred from my music.

Best ear buds EVER! Only ones that are CLOSE are Smokin' Buds (also from Skullcandy), and even those are only better because they have SLIGHTLY deeper bass, and inline volume control. But Ink'd buds are about $12 less, so it equals out lol.

  • haha thats like basic common sense ...

  • great, ive ruined too many pairs of head phones by wrapping them around my ipod and breaking the jack,

now i can take care of my new skullcandies

    thanks

  • @TKO2193 lol skull candies wat will they think of next

  • @TKO2193 >using skullcandies

    oh boy

  • Great!!!

I normally spend more time unwrapping my headphones than listening music.

  • you just saved me 115 quid cheers mate

  • wow man i never knew that its even possible to do that you saved my life............

    ...NOT hahaha

    gaaaaaaayyyyyy

  • ipod headphones are nothing. I got Sony MDR-XD200 with about 9 feet of cord. you've saved my life :P

  • My headphones broke yesterday. I think I somehow damaged the jack. The sound will not stay consistently in both ears and alternates between both every second. So annoying.

  • call apple and get them replaced...you need a credit card. but its free when they receive the broken ones i have 7 replaced... they always break and you need the warranty from your ipod or the box where u got the earphones for info

  • Yeah I guess I could but I've had them for about 3 years so I guess it's just wear and tear. It's probably my own fault that they broke anyway cos I never looked after them properly...

  • lol i usually bite on like every cable i got cause i got nothin better to do... you need to take like extra care of the apple ones they brake too easily

  • Lol yeah I do that as well. I have to stop myself sometimes though cos I don't realize I'm doing it XD

  • the problem with this method is that your headphone cabling will now be kinked and mesy when you unwrap it, You should do it the Over under method and then knot it at the male end, very easy and they'll last longer

  • try to do it while driving

  • i agree. not very easy is it? lol

  • hahahaha

  • while this looks non-messy, this is absolutely the wrong way to do it. it can cause kinks and shorten cable life. search for the over-under technique for a preferred method.

  • great videos helps alot

  • well thats not what he said was it. who the fuck would say porn is childrens tv. u need to calm down over the smallest fucking things, its just a video about tying headphones FFS

  • Great vid. I've used a similar technique for wrapping video game controller wires ever since the Atari 2600 era ;).

To those that are balking at the ipod in the title... ummm, those are ipod headphones. And even if they weren't, ipod is synonymous for mp3 player, just like walkman was to portable tape players, or like kleenex is to facial tissue... get over it.

  • Anger management needed

  • its mislabeled, people who want to neatly wrap their headphones, might not find this video. its a youtube policy actually, and its also ipods sales tactic for all users to advertise its brand, hence why theres a great big apple on all their stuff.

    education needed.

  • daenumen, get a life and stop complaining. :)

  • well ok, lets take your logic and apply it to other things, lets label xxxporn as childrens tv whilst we're at it. see where the world comes too? your logic is the reason why predjudist exists.

  • you're going to short them out where you coil it tightly. :|

  • How do you work that out?. No you won't short them out, they're coated in this AMAZING insulator, called "plastic". Go back to school.

  • uh huh. I'm an electrical engineer with a masters degree. I've had enough schooling thanks. rather than an oval shaped coiling which causes it to flex more on the endpoints... a loose round coil is preferred

  • Go back to school, all kinds of wire can short out even with your AMAZING insulator call "plastic". Especially near the part where the wire reaches the plug.

  • Hey good one!

  • i usually just wrap them around my ipod but if u dont leave them connected then thats pretty cool

  • thats what my maid does to all the cords in the house, hah

  • neat.

  • But can anyone tell me how can you prevent the wires from breaking at the point where they connect to the plug??

I lost a set of Bose becuz of that....those things aint cheap!!

  • ...apparently they are ;)

  • don't carry your ipod in your pocket but in a hoodie or a pocket of a jacket or something else, where no pressure can occur. i have headphones and i broke my cable (that's what this is called) like 4 times. i then go buy a audiocable and repair the headphones myself. i don't know if that's possible with bose-HP but it's easy with my panasonic.

(i'm taking about headphones and not ear-plugs)

  • all that twisting eventually wears on the internal wires causing them to break

  • Exactly...I was thinking that, too.

  • wow im so lazy i actually look up how to wrap my headphones neatly. *sigh* im going to go eat some pizza now.

  • lol

  • lmao

  • wow thanks and I bet that your a low life that nobody likes, now lets be realistic, which is more true?

  • ha ha that how i do it!

  • Finally. I had some earphones that broke within a month. Now I know the cuplrit. Lets see if this technique works for me :p

  • wow that is the exact same way i do it o_o

  • i always do that ;) It's much better than wrapping it around an iPod and keeps the plug's rubber cover from fraying.

  • Must be another sailor...

  • lol that's what you do for wrapping rope.

  • Been doing this for years now, didn't see it done before just was the most logical way to do it.

  • Yeah I know. Like, dude, we already know this. Everyone knows that.

  • lol look at the rating and views.ha ha ur cool

  • this works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really good!

  • thanks

  • i alwayz wrapped them round my ipod. thats prolly why they broke. ima do it like that now. lets c if it helps

  • DUDE THAT IS SO COOL(: !

  • ... Lool i don't even have an iPod.

    I want one now (:

  • IT'S SO EASY haha

  • haha that's smart never thought of that!

  • thats awesome! thanks for the tip.

  • haha i do that im not "weird".

    nice set up there.

  • wow

  • THANK U SO MUCH

  • Excellent demo in 31 seconds!

  • THANK YOU!!

  • Спасибо! Теперь буду всегда так складывать :)

  • cool!

  • good idea works well put i just wrap my headphones around my ipod so pointless for me

  • same lol and hook them around the other end

  • wait what do u mean hook them around the other end??? i just wrap them and then i like idk how to explain but put them under the wire.

  • when they run out of cord It's at just the right spot where I set them on the other side and it hooks I guess >.>

  • Hmm ill have to try to do something like that

  • thanks alot i never knew how to do that

  • this is wut i did i tried many ways by the way i didn't search how to tie or wrap em just right now i see it

  • I didn't know how to do it like that exactly.

I wrapped it round my mp3 player, with the ends loose.

This is a better way, and I think it's good people have put up short 1/2 minute videos to show the uneducated how to do it :P

  • Thats cute! Do you have any ideas how to keep the little sponges that go on the speaker ends from falling off after about 2 weeks worth of wear? : ))

  • I LOVE U MAN!!! since i saw this vid my headphones havnt gotten ANY damadged!

  • 古いというか、基本的に間違ってますよこれ。

    なんで8の字巻きにしないんだ。

    It's TOTALLY wrong.

  • じゃどうすりゃいいんだ

  • ???

  • いつもこうやってるし普通だと思うんだが

  • Um, that's an old, old, OLD sailor's trick for line.

  • Wow, you really can find a how-to video for ANYTHING on the internet.

  • I do the exact same thing with most of my cords (camera cables, power adapter cables, headphones, ipod sync cords, etc). Glad to see I'm not the only one! :D

  • hehe nice :-D

  • seriously? how to wrap headphones?

  • Oha!!!! Some People forget that theres a wire in the cable!!!!!!!

  • This is a great way to wrap your cables if you want to ruin them. the constant tight wrap at the end will break down thin cable inside much faster than normal. You want to feel as if you are never bending the cable further than it naturally wants to bend.

  • You're most certainly right that the lifespan will be reduced by wrapping the cables this way. However--and this may not represent everyone's experience--but I've been wrapping mine like this for years without a problem.

  • Wow thx, helped me alot, my headphones were a miss !

  • I've been wrapping all cords (including headphones) like this for many, many years.

  • same here...i was expecting something revolutionary.....

  • thanks that was great.

  • Impossible o_O

  • Yo Curiousinventor, does wrapping your headphones like that cause ANY damage to your headphones whatsoever, I'm just curious.

  • No that Was not easy

    (Sarcastic)

  • omg...are you people for real?? You had to watch a video to figure that out? Jeezz

  • this helped me a lot

    thanx a lot dude!!!!

  • yea i know they should make wirless they logitech made for the ipod but just for the old ipod photo

  • well it cause damage to the headphones?
