2. If, after 41 days, the police should find a key piece of evidence to be invalid, they may become desperate and manufacture evidence.

They would rather have ten guilty subjects go free, rather than imprison one innocent person. She was in prison from arrest, thru the trail and conviction of the murder, the appeal in total 4 years. The slander conviction was upheld a 3 year sentence. release for time served. 1. Raffaele was in the apt the morning after murder, breathing, touching things, shedding thousands of flakes of skin. Only one such flake can produce a positive DNA reading.
2. If, after 41 days, the police should find a key piece of evidence to be invalid, they may become desperate and manufacture evidence.

Let me help you examine this:
1. No DNA from Amanda was EVER found in Kercher's room. Not on day one. Not on day 41.
2. Police used clean-room procedures in handling of the bra clasp (keeping under glass shields, etc.) AFTER they left it to be kicked around on the floor for 41 days. DNA collected from such an article cannot be trusted.

Sollecito's alleged tiny traces of DNA were mixed with that of others and it was tested after months of cross contamination. In other words it's meaningless and the independent forensics experts rightly ruled it out completely. None of her or Rafa's DNA was found at the crime scene or on the body, yet Guede's was all over.
