I got a 2006 Saab 9-5, and there are 3 decorative chrome colored moldings that fell off from the front. It is just plain plastic that is shiny, and it is less then an inch thick, and about a foot long.
yeah I sold my toyota surf hilux 2.4 and bought a saab but saabs spare is expensive thats true.man this hilux was my best friend my horse yeah I miss it but nw I run faster with saab it's not bad.
OK, well your all right. I'm just going to buy a nearly new saab 95, apsaloutly lovley. As you can see there, they are very thoughrer in the production.
@TheONEWELL Dude you said you were going to buy a nearly new Saab 95, Your channel says you are 13 years old ???? also your spelling on your comment is bad...
Cool video, and it really is rather quiet in that factory, I love Saabs, big fan of their styling, especially in the 9-5 aeros, particularly this body style. Plus I hear these cars last a long time, so thats pretty cool. I plan on getting an 04' saab 9-5 aero soon, wish me luck!
A very wise choice buying a Saab. You will be driving a safe, sporty, quirky, fun to drive, aircraft inspired individual automobile. I own an 04 9-5 Aero Sedan and it is beautiful, its cosmic blue. Search Saab 9-5 Cosmic Blue on google images and you will see one like mine! These cars will go forever provided they are maintained and treated well. Just dont buy the 1997-2002 models as this was the first shape and this being first ever 9-5 had a few troubles we could all do without ae,
lol, thats the reason why I like em, plus its a rare car where I live, except in this one town where its pretty popular. I love how the ignition is in the middle, and the overall look of the car. Cosmic blue is an awesome color but I always prefer the red, but thats always harder to come by, but I did find a silver one, next best thing I guess, not many are for sale near me. Yea, thats what I heard too, I'm hoping the one I will probably get will last me 1 million miles like that saab 900 guy
Hey again Jumper01, in my opinion Saabs are the best cars ever! No matter what the model. I also agree with what you say on your profile, europen cars are the best thing ever. Where abouts in this big world are you? Im in New Zealand and we only have 2 dealers in the whole country :-( Its extremly rare to see a Saab here so I get very excited when I do see one, he, he. If I had the money I would buy a new 2009 Laser Red Saab 9-5 Griffen Edition Sedan (unfortunatly its now out of production)
They really are! like where I like in the US, its flooded with japanese cars which are kinda boring in my opinion. European cars, love them all, my top 2 would have to be BMW and SAAB. Wow 2 dealers? In my state Saab dealers are getting rare as well, one just closed down, but theres a dealer 10 minutes away which is good. I thought there would be more Saabs in New Zealand, I mean it does snow down there right? I see Saabs once in a while but most are older 9-3's, 9-5's sometimes, dam word count.
Wow you and I are very alike, we both like BMW and Saab! As well as the 9-5 in cosmic blue I also own a 2000 BMW M5 which I enherited from my Grandma when she could nolonger drive. Its a great car, only thing wrong with it is the rear cupholders are jamed in! There are ALOT of Saab's in Christchurch in the South Island where I live, the local Christchurch dealer, Blackwells Saab is my closest dealer (5 hours away) The one in the capital, Wellington has closed.
lol thats awesome. wow 2000 BMW M5, thats an awesome car, I wish my grandma had something like that, sadly they can't drive. Well cupholders shouldn't be too hard to fix or replace. Currently my family has a BMW X5, and a Nissan which are pretty cool, but a Saab would make a nice addition. I wish I could drive a manual but seems too complex, plus it would be a pain in traffic, and most cars here are automatics. Wow 5 hours, thats a long drive, are there places to service your Saab at least?
Yea, Ive never bothered to go to the ex BMW dealer and ask them (We lost BMW in Nelson, NZ about a year ago and also have to travel to Christchurch 5 hours away to see a BMW dealer however the ex dealer in Nelson is still qualified maintenance. The 9-5 gets serviced at a machanic in Nelson called Dowier Continential who services and repairs euro cars. Wish we had a Saab dealer here. I learnt to drive in a Ford Laser hatchback in manual without powersteering, it was like driving a bus!
wow losing a lot of dealers in NZ huh? I'm guessing japanese cars are popular there as well? That works, using the old mechanics that used to work there, here in the US we have dealers everywhere, and thank god they are close. The independent mechanics usually cheaper though so I guess thats better than the dealer. Lol, never heard of a Ford Laser, but it sounds small, wow without powersteering, that must've given you a work out.
Oh I forgot to say that we used to have three now we have two. The Wellington one closed a few months ago so now we have Schofeilds Saab in Auckland and Blackwells Saab in Christchurch. The local euro mechanic is in know way cheap, hez a dam rip off to be honest, well thats compared to what the maintenance costs on Jap cars for comperative parts. But I must say I would rather own a 2000 M5 that costs lots for parts than a boring old Honda Accord!
that must suck, but shouldn't there be used car dealerships that sell SAABs? Plus if you need parts theres usually the internet, and stuff, lol. Hmm, over here independent mechanics are always cheaper than the dealers. Yea I totally agree, the best selling car here is a Toyota Camry which hopefully you've heard of, lol. The car is the boringest thing ever. Japanese cars, I have one favorite, its Infiniti, love them.
We have a few used car yards which VERY RARELY sell used Saabs. mainly Jap imports as NZ new ones are very rare. But having said that there are an increasing amount of them around in Nelson, they must be coming from Christchurch. We are lucky to have a guy in Nelson who is a Saab nut and parts out old tired Saabs so if you have an old ones you can get parts locally, otherwise you got to order through dealer or elkparts in England.
Toyota Camry is very popular here too, they made in Australia which is right next door to NZ as you know. Toyota has a special version of the Camry called the Aurion and they are trying to put them against the Ford Falcon of which the Aurion simply cannot compete. Its V6 is crap.
The most popular cars here are mostly the japanese Honda Accords, Civics, Toyota Camry, Corollas, and Nissan Altimas. But SUV's are actually the most popular cars on the road. Most of the V6's offered by them are. American cars here are pretty unreliable and cheap in quality, so most buy foreign.
haha, I'm like you guys too, BMW and Saab are the best car companies out there. Proud to say I have both! I also have a 9-5 (And 7-series and possibly 3-series convertible soon), in polar white; great color too btw!
Saab's Trollhättan factory will soon be ramping up production output considerably in the coming 6 months. The 9-3 Sedan and Combi production is now being joined by the 9-3 convertible and new 9-3x. Production of the 2009 9-5 Sedan has stopped as of July however the estate will continue. The all new 9-5 sedan tooling is being set up as we speak. The slow production of the Cadillac BLS sedan and combi stopped some time ago. Production at Trollhättan is currently at 100 cars per day.
