i can't help but cry while i'm listening to this powerful song... my girlfriend right now is suffering from a near multiple sclerosis and there's a possibility that she will lose her eye sight.. i dont want that to happen and will continue praying for her complete healing... right now it's our rainy day... but God is a god of love and i know that she will be healed completely... someday we will see God's rainbow of love shining down on us...

The book has since been put on hold, but I return to it once and a while. When I do, I listen to this. I am a Christian, but that has little to do with why I like this song. i am an atheist, but i respect others beliefs. if its all that gets them through the day, or inspires songs such as this, then i have no problem with it. its when people use their religion for things such as dominating a country or pronouncing the superiority of men that i have a problem with it. most of my friends are strict catholics, but i dont believe in any religion/god, only the principles that are similar throughout religion such as honesty, friendship, ect. that is my take on religion.

I can understand the struggle to believe in a god... been there myself. Spent 4 months studying the arguments on both sides, and trying to come to a conclusion. But I cannot understand if there is no god, why anything matters at all. If we are merely the product of a material universe, created by chance, why should we abide by these laws which also would have happened by chance?

We do not rape and kill and steal simply to further the human species. if we commited these crimes, all hell would break loose(no pun intended) and we would all end up 6 feet under. and the documents about jesus are true, he was real and alive and helped thousands of people, ill give you that. but i dont believe he was gods son. just my faith is different than yours, thats all.

Jesus was a real person who cared for people with a passion and greatly improved their lives, but i do not believe he was any more than that. the new testament was written decades after jesus was alive, so it could have gotten some things wrong or misinterpreted them. jesus may have believed in his new faith as millions believe in his teachings today, but that doesn't mean he was really the son of god.

Even so, that's not why I believe in Jesus. I believe because of what I have witnessed in my own life and what I've witnessed in the life of others. The ? of God is the most important in life.
