He sounds better now than he did then. As long as he's sober, he can control whether he sounds like shit or not. Here, he's definitely not at his strongest, but don't think that it's voice declination, because he still has all that growl and power now as he did during late Core and Purple era, it's just all based on how much he's used his voice lately and how sober he is. He still to this day has the greatest voice in rock.

It's weird, a lot of his live solo performances were extremely weak, but this is the best vocal performance of Piece Of Pie I've seen. Shame Robert, Dean and Eric aren't there with him...
