There's one of those in Scolluzer, and I go there and NEVER find any drones.

If it is a system with a lot of people around, someone has beat you up to it. You should visit it sometimes later, when they respawn (or right after downtime). These kind of "locations" are marked with beacon saying "Rogue drone infestation" or similar.

This is how I have done it:

1. You will need XviD (I use Koepi XviD codec) + AutoGK (do google on it)

2. My EVE res is 1680x1050 so avi file is ~1GB for a 5min movie, for youtube it is best to be encoded to 640x400

3. Opening AutoGK you define input file (from fraps) and your output (final) avi.

4. My setup is also: Custom size: 25MB (encoder matches output file of that size), and in Advance Settings I put Fixed width: 640, Audio: CBR 96kbps

5. Start encode!

When it is done, view it to see if it is ok (if not try to tweak few of the parameters or increase the file size - I am not sure what is a YouTube limit on this one). Then all that remains is to upload it to youtube and wait until it finishes. Post me an info how it went for you.

Hi, i have downloaded all the programs but when i start encoding it brings virtual dub up and gets rid of sound...

i want the sound so i closed virtual dub but encoding stopped. :P

So i put it on youtube and it wasn't any better quality, so deleted it.

I have tried to post you a nice guide for AutoGK but youtube keeps deleting it.. so I'll try to explain manually how how to find it:

1. Go to google and enter search string "auto gordian knot guide" (without quotes)

2. First of the links will send you to a doom9 webpage with full AutoGK guide

3. You can skip Step 1 and go directly to Step 2. Since the guide is written for DVD backup, you should use my comments from above instead.

It should work off-the-shelf.

Also, do not touch anything until the process has ended! The reason is that video and audio streams are encoded separately then joined back in the final stage.

And it doesn't take that long for a 5min movie on a decent PC configuration.

I agree with shakescan, very good quality! How do you record yourself on eve; what program? i use fraps, but the quality of my vid is crap, take a look.

Video is taken using Fraps.. And conversion tool used is Auto Gordian Knot, with XviD as codec.

(I was using 25MB limit for the file up to 5min, and reduced resolution to a 640x400).

Then I have upload it to YouTube.
