the Great Tribulation of Mat 24 is coming for Israel; Daniel's 70th week is coming for Israel (Dan 9). But it is ridiculous to insist that the Church MUST go thru Israels' trib. For 1900 years now persons in the Church have been dying, generation after generation, & NEVER GOING THRU THAT TRIB. U think they will be raised to go thru that trib? Ridiculous.

@Thunkful2, Actually the timing of a pre, mid, or post tribulation resurrection (rapture) of the elect aren't taught in scripture. According to Jesus, His coming will come after the sun moon and stars go out (6th seal) (Mat. 24:29, Rev 6:12-14) sometime after the middle of the seven years (70th week of Daniel) (Dan. 9:27, Mat. 24:15) no man knows the exact day or hour (Mat. 24:36)

Please note he did not call it "The Great Tribulation". Men have written into the text. There is right now "Great Tribulation" all over the world.

You mention Isaiah 26:19-21, but verse 20 says: "hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast". God is telling us to hide ourselves. This is not saying that he will remove us from the earth. You are reading way too much into this one verse, as you are to the rest of the Bible.

Even when I didn't believe in the rapture, I didn't make the mistake of equating what is fortold about the "Day of the Lord" and what is called "tribulation".

I like Corrie and believe her to be a discerning sister, but this only serves as an example of lazy understanding about that against which one is arguing.

Every pre-trib beliver I've ever met would stratch their heads wondering "who ever said that we would not suffer tribulation?" Yet still holding that we escape the Day of the Lord.
