@ZerFish Go to the internet by pressing the browser icon on the home screen. if this doesn't work: -Have you activated the SIM? If not, call 1258880. -Are you in a coverage area? If using it on NextG, you should be able to see up to five signal bars on the top right of the screen. -Do you have recharge in your account [if pre-paid]? Find out by going on the My Account icon from your home screen or the following YouTube link: youtube.com/watch?v=WforRCCttrM
@AuzzieIdiots Depends what you mean by ‘free.’ For example, downloads and uploads come off the data allocation. The app is free and available from Android Market but the T-Touch Tab also has a ‘Tribe’ widget. This offers some unmetered access to Facebook as well as Twitter and Myspace.
@timchurchward Maybe "steps" wasn't the best choice of words since we're aiming to highlight the features of the T-Touch Tab. What would you prefer to see in a tutorial?
@lusciouspimp Android 2.1 does not support Flash 10.1, but Flash support for the Telstra T-Touch Tab will be available with an Android 2.2 updgrade planned for the first half of 2011.
It's a cheaper alternative to iPad but this 1 can make calls, SMS, thousands of apps, plays FLASH nd maybe upgradable to android OS 2.2 froyo, nd for $299 this is absolute bargain!
I purchased the T-Touch Tab because it's not much more expensive than an EBook reader and it has more functionality.
It's by Telstra? No actually - it's a re-badged Huwaie.
The 7 inch screen makes reading ebook texts tolerable. Obviously e-ink is easier on the eyes, but the T Touch is colour. I have no problems surfing and searching the web.
I'm going to write a full review on Epinions, but the Touch is an easy to use multi functional unit that costs zero to run using wi fi. Recommended.
A wolf in sheeps clothing is still a wolf... This company is not famous for its telecomunication skills and also there is a very good reason why Telstra bashing is a national pastime.
@beau2425 Yes, like a smartphone you can browse any website – though since it’s a mobile device it will default to a mobile optimised site if available. And be careful with your data, accessing normal websites (as opposed to mobile sites) use more data than mobile sites.
1) The processor is 768MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon, and there's a resistive rather than capacitive touchscreen. The T-Touch Tab runs Android 2.1 rather than 2.2, and isn't currently capable of playing Flash videos from Web sites.
2) 2 megapixel camera with video recording. Front camera for mobile codes.
@TheFungusKiller I'd still prefer to buy two of these and have $50 left over than grabbing a wifi-only iPad.
And just because it's Telstra doesn't necessarily mean you need to purchase a contract. It's pre-paid. And it's not even made by them anyway - it's made by a company called Huawei.
Can you connect to wifi?

@bizzy85 Does not have flash on 2.1Froyo. Doesn't play flash. It was a misprint. They said so in the booker inside the box.

What a waste of $300. It's cheap for a reason...
3) It's Telstra!
