Gundam 00's pretty boy style is also fine, at least each character can be easily recognized. However, Gundam Seed and Destiny were confusing as hell as the lead character artist had the facial structure of male and female characters all too similar. First thing I realized was that they all looked like chicks, second thing was that they all looked the same to me... WTH!?

@rclsm1021 Actually, Amuro wasn't the best pilot of the OYW, there were Federal Forces pilots who outscored him using GM's. And he did not "practically finish" the OYW, in reality the sheer numbers the Feddies put into the battle at the end of the war when Zeon had run out of resources and capable pilots was what finished it. Being first makes him a standard to compare by nothing else. Still, I wouldn't want to face him...he did be the Red Comet more than once...
And in the end, the colonists gain complete independence 60 years later, Full Frontal dies a horrible death and gives a prophecy that comes true, Banagher becomes "God", sees F90, Victory and 4000 years later humanity explores the universe, we find out exactly what happened to Char and Amuro, how EFSF got so weak and what led to Cosmo Babalonia.
And Banagher wakes in his hospital bed, Minerva vanishing from his life forever.
i think this gundam unicorn will be the best gundam war series because it show so many different type of MS, and not only focus on main character only when the fight start......hey this is what i call war movie or war anime.......
man just finished watching it.. im fucken mindblown by how amazing this is especially the artwork and quality of animation is just top notch. they need to seriously think about a new series tat puts in just as much effort as this one has cuz it will surpass all no doubt about it
that sounds good, but you need to remember that Unicorn has the highest per-episode budget of any anime in history. quality like this doesnt come cheap.
Why i like most Gundam UC series? Because they actually bother to showcase the usefulness of every damn mobile suit. From the grunts to the excessively powerful ones. You actually get to see a few Jegans putting up a fight, as well as some Zakus, CannonFodders which actually portray that the pilots WERE TRAINED. Realism is what UC series offer. Something which people who wants overpowered mobile suits would find boring. But people like me would appreciate.

The scenes from Jupiter and the shots at schematics that aren't ever elaborated are examples. Basically GN tech takes advantage of a topological defect as a power source, the byproducts of baryonic decay being a GN particle, which is manipulated by an interactive force. A lot of it, like quantization, is theoretical, but the tech isn't magic or anything.

The psycho frame could convert the pilot's will into physical energy and the ultimate pinnacle of newtype evolution is a fusion of the human mind and machine, but it could only be activated by the strongest newtypes. Without spoiling anything, the Unicorn is the most powerful mobile suit in history. Stronger than the Hi-Nu or w/e, stronger than Victory, stronger than F91.
Full Frontal isn't exactly a clone, he is actually Char more or less. In the last Unicorn novel, its revealed that overloading psycoframes makes the pilot a "ultimate newtype" doing incredible things such as pushing away Axis, but they would literally be absorbed into the psycoframe. The Nu Gundam was burned up in the atmosphere so Amuro could never be reproduced but somehow the Sazabi cockpit survived with Char's "soul" in it. That explains how Full Frontal had memories only Char would have.
@Jramssy the reason why full frontal act like char is because he is an artificially created human being with an implanted psychoframe and sazabi's batttle data of char (explains char's memories, combat experiences, and personality). and also hi-nu is probably much powerful than unicorn gundam because it's psychoframe is no longer a prototype but a full operating version. and also unicorn psychoframe is not even complete-the banshee is. and v2's potential wasn't even used in the anime.
@rematche for example, v2 never used it's bits and the m-drive. so...no one can really tell about v2's true performance. in the anime it was just using it's default settings. kinda the same as turn a and turn x, both never used their true potential.
@rematche Unicorn is full-psychoframe maybe what mean prototype in its full frame and NT-D. I never seen mobile suit with Ability to convert psycho-waves into hostility before. So I think this is still in prototype stage.

How would he bring balance to the world and his life is a theme of the series.
The nude scenes that appear in UC Gundam are scenes used to convey communication between Newtypes, that is communication of pure thought and emotion, the fact that the characters appear nude is merely to add a sense of purity, rather than lecherous intent. Any other Gundam series to do this is merely paying homage to this concept. If Japanese people are more lustful than another society is a question I can't answer, however, it is inappropriate to make these observations based on these scenes.

@A2Nesk -Char(33) and amuro(29) both died during char's counter attack events along with two good mobile suits sazabi and nu gundam :-(. Yep both died young!!!!!
@A2Nesk he died at the end of Char's Counter Attack trying to stop Axis from entering the Atmosphere. The movie leaves it open but the novel pretty much said he died Tomino said it also. Yes Amuro is dead and so is Char unless Full Frontal really is Char Aznable. Which I personally don't think he is but hey where not even half way through the UC Ova.

And since its finale is not released yet, I will let the series officially finishes and may history be the final judge. The psycho frame could convert the pilot's will into physical energy and the ultimate pinnacle of newtype evolution is a fusion of the human mind and machine, but it could only be activated by the strongest newtypes. Without spoiling anything, the Unicorn is the most powerful mobile suit in history. Stronger than the Hi-Nu or w/e, stronger than Victory, stronger than F91.

Full Frontal isn't exactly a clone, he is actually Char more or less. In the last Unicorn novel, its revealed that overloading psycoframes makes the pilot a "ultimate newtype" doing incredible things such as pushing away Axis, but they would literally be absorbed into the psycoframe. The Nu Gundam was burned up in the atmosphere so Amuro could never be reproduced but somehow the Sazabi cockpit survived with Char's "soul" in it. That explains how Full Frontal had memories only Char would have.

@Jramssy the reason why full frontal act like char is because he is an artificially created human being with an implanted psychoframe and sazabi's batttle data of char (explains char's memories, combat experiences, and personality). and also hi-nu is probably much powerful than unicorn gundam because it's psychoframe is no longer a prototype but a full operating version. and also unicorn psychoframe is not even complete-the banshee is. and v2's potential wasn't even used in the anime.

@rematche for example, v2 never used it's bits and the m-drive. so...no one can really tell about v2's true performance. in the anime it was just using it's default settings. kinda the same as turn a and turn x, both never used their true potential.

@rematche Unicorn is full-psychoframe maybe what mean prototype in its full frame and NT-D. I never seen mobile suit with Ability to convert psycho-waves into hostility before. So I think this is still in prototype stage.

@boeonoz of course it is in a prototype stage...the full armor unicorn gundam is final product. it glows green instead of red. there also already a lot of mobile suit with ability to convert psycho-waves into hostility, mostly in newtype system such as the pyschoframe biocomputer, and biosensor found in ms or gundams that applies these.

@unknownwr well what Banagher eventually found out was that he was actually at the heart of the storm: not only stuck between Federation, Zeon and AE, but also he apparently was the heir to the Vist family which was known to have a "curse" (family members were known to murder each other). To make things more complicated, he was a natural NT, something the mainstream society regarded as taboo or "myth".
How would he bring balance to the world and his life is a theme of the series.

The nude scenes that appear in UC Gundam are scenes used to convey communication between Newtypes, that is communication of pure thought and emotion, the fact that the characters appear nude is merely to add a sense of purity, rather than lecherous intent. Any other Gundam series to do this is merely paying homage to this concept. If Japanese people are more lustful than another society is a question I can't answer, however, it is inappropriate to make these observations based on these scenes.

@A2Nesk -Char(33) and amuro(29) both died during char's counter attack events along with two good mobile suits sazabi and nu gundam :-(. Yep both died young!!!!!

@A2Nesk he died at the end of Char's Counter Attack trying to stop Axis from entering the Atmosphere. The movie leaves it open but the novel pretty much said he died Tomino said it also. Yes Amuro is dead and so is Char unless Full Frontal really is Char Aznable. Which I personally don't think he is but hey where not even half way through the UC Ova.

It is not about peace through understanding, it's about power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely, that leads to the rise of Titans. Unicorn series would reveal further why this corruption existed and TItans were only a tip of the iceberg.
I'm surprised a lot of you don't pay attention to details and try to fit everything into one bed (sadly that bed is Seed, a non-representative example of Gundam series).

And since its finale is not released yet, I will let the series officially finishes and may history be the final judge. I do, however, recommend people who began with GS / GSD to not to take the series as the "norm" (because it is not).

If so, those Islamic extremists attacked Dakar because Universal Century not only robbed their lands, destroyed their traditional values and beliefs, but also UC announced the death of God. So these extremists attacked out of revenge and had nothing to do with converting everyone into their beliefs.

Sure, both the Earth Federation and United States use questionable in morality tactics to fight terrorists, but the terrorists the Earth Federation fights are very easy to relate to and even side with, while the Muslim extremists today are not. @ipekatomang Wow. Reading a comment comparing Gundam to Twilight makes my eyes bleed. Regarding the 00 Movie's ''deep'' messages, you're kind of right. It's theme isn't as deep as it tries to be and I find that the best themes in stories are the themes that characters don't have to spell out for the audience. One 00 flaw that I will admit to is the fact that they always TOLD us the messages we were supposed to get from the story. Corny and romanticized, yes, but overall I do still enjoy it.

And its a well known fact that not all life in the universe is going to be carbon based anthropoids. So the series opened the door for new material, something the Gundam series needed. And Im convinced that Tomino was binge drinking when he created Turn - A.
