Why do you have the Mic Gain set so high? You should only have it at 25 to 26,...yours is way up to about 84,so without a doubt,you're way overmodulating and over driving the transmitter as well.How do I know you're way up to 84 on the Mic Gain? I have the same radio as you do and checking your setting with mine up that high puts it up to 84,...WAY too high on the Mic Gain! Crank that thing down to about 25 to 26 and check your ALC level!

@KC9SYJ no whingng from the other contact so I am happy with this QSO...also I did not change any settings within the menu as it was not my radio to mess with It ws in my possesion for 1 and a half days. To be fair I would not buy this model anyway as I dont like the look of them plus they are over priced.
