I think they lke to stress the tree and have a kind of "roller coaster" experience; they can do with that cedar 'cause flexible, the other trees aren't..

This is great! I read about your video in the comments on ANOTHER starling video, and had to see it. It does look like they're messing around with the cedar on purpose--maybe they like getting flung in the air?

Really interesting! Thanks for posting it. I'm thinking that perhaps those cedar trees are full of bugs and the starlings are having a jolly old feast in their branches.
