@bloodravenuk That's a good point. It seems to me that Laura was always portrayed as a caring/loving mother. There's a scene that Dexter remembers, when she was playing hide and seek with both Dexter and Brian.

I don't know the answer to this. I don't think the writers ever explained this, so we can only assume that she was a bad mother. Maybe there was another explanation? Anyone got ideas?

Question, I have seen ALL of the episodes as of now, Its about Dexter's dad. It was a thought, but i forgot if it was ever mentioned, did his father have anything to do with her death? I thought i remembered something having to deal with the Spiderweb tattoo and hence how Dex spotted the killer in season 2 but that wasn't it
