The products are ok, some better than others like most lines. In the past I have used mostly the skin care, which I think is pretty nice, but I have pared down and now only use retin a at night and sunscreen in the Am. So, the last part I went to I decided to buy some makeup, and frankly I am appalled at the TINY sizes of product you get. And the blush I bought? So far, I am not impressed. It wears away in about 2 hours. with the tiny pan and having to reapply, a blush won't last long.

@lalagirl211 yes they do. your consultant should be able to explain the expiration coding on the boxes or product itself... if it dosen't have a code on it then ask about the "shelf life."

You said, 1% women earn over 100k/year, and 70% of those women are in MK? So .7% overall are earning 100K THROUGH Mary Kay? US pop is over 300 M, let's just say 150M are female. There are less than 1 million active consultants (way less! and shrinking!). Even with these outside estimates, the percentage of US women who are even IN Mary Kay is .006%, which means that not just ALL of the current consultants are are making over 100k/year, but 10x the ENTIRE SALES FORCE is doing that well!

I'm also a MaryKay consultant since last summer. What they fail to tell you is that you need a monthly $200 wholesale order to stay active.well I just made mine this past weekend thanks to our tax refund so I can get off the inactive list! the good part is v.s. other copmanies is you earn your % up front.

@reverendcandice OK..I've never posted here so obviously I'm having trouble! I want to clarify that this information is NOT CORRECT. To be considered fully "active" you need to order $200 w/s every QUARTER--not month. HOWEVER, to remain a "consultant" you only have to place one $200 order within a 12 month period. The only catch, if you call it that, is that if you haven't ordered in the previous 3 months, you need to order at least the $200 w/s in order to get the consultant discount. (More)

@64brunette If you are interested in MK, make sure you talk to someone who understands the ordering guidelines and can explain them to you adequately because it can get confusing.
