Without the compassion of the gurudevas and swamis who left their homeland to bring us yoga people like myself would have never found truth. In one lifetime I have been completely ignorant and through yoga I found God. Krishna Das, your voice inspires me!!!!!! XD
why is it written hellujah chalisa when it is hanuman chalisa the half monkey half human hanuman who was enslaved by vishnu avatar shri ram. unlike u r enslaved of someone or something. lets break tyrany and make yourself free and sanstified jai lord bhrama the creator of this universe unlike yahwh/jehovah/aalah/el shadai/adonai
Jai Shri Maharaj-ji <3 The love is so pure...the love of God to Disciple <3 May his love touch us all and Enlighten our minds! Jai Maharaj-ji Jai Gurudeva <3
@m22frogger The mind can never be enlightened. It is the mind which prevents enlightenment. The goal is to quiet the mind. No method is simpler than self-inquiry. The question,"Who am I?" accomplishes this. What remains is the Self. The mind cannot seek itself. This is so because it doesn't really exist. Like a thought, it is fleeting imagination. What changes is said to be "unreal". What is permanent is real. The Self is the only Reality. Knowing this is "enlightenment."
@cshack Only the Guru can the impossible....The mind alone cannot change itself...That is tantamount to a thief becoming a cop and counting on him/her to help you catch a thief. Also I believe what I was aiming for was pretty much quieting of mind not the "enlightening" of it in traditional sense, you see. :)
In his autobiography, Richard Alpert, later Ram Dass, is astonished that the guru knew what he dreamt last night. How could he have known? Here is 1 explanation that I got from Alperts own book. Alpert could easily have been talking in his sleep and the blond guy overheard his words and told the Guru the next day! If you read Alperts Be Here Now, this seems so obvious. Alpert met the blond guy on the road and he was with Alpert all night. Is this a reasonable explanation? Read his own book
@AngieMom57 ...Yes, of course it is the Hanuman chalisa but when Krishna Das put together his Flow of Grace album, made up of eight or so variations of the chalisa, he differentiated each one with different titles. The variation used here he called the "Hallelujah" Chalisa. I could refer to it as the "Hallelujah" Hanuman Chalisa....
Cshack---Great picture sequence of a wonderful Saint. This is my fav of all the Neem Karoli Baba youtubes. If you ever feel the urge to do another, I only request a running sequence of the original words (and running translation). Don't change the pics, they are so inspiring as is the music of Krishna Das---very wonderful blessing. I run this daily. Thank you for all your efforts. (PS...Miracle of Love, what a great account of this Saint.)
You know not ever knowing or meeting Maharaj-ji.looking into his eyes I feel as if i could sit and listen to him speak for hours . I would have loved to have met him.
to hear him speak of Christ pulls at my heart being a former practing Christian to connect with this is what drives me

@static33bc There is no "We." There is only silent awareness. Journeys are illusions that occur when misidentifying with a particular body or being.

"I only had cereal for breakfast, so I'm still..."
"There is no 'I' to have breakfast. You and the cereal are one."
"Yeah... but "not I" is still hungry."

@godno1god Maharaj-ji was known to have that siddhi. That story was not an isolated incident.
