Too true. It didn't even become a Christian symbol until the 3rd or 4th century. Before that, Christian art / symbols focused on more hopeful aspects like Life and the Ressurection.

For the people who said the clothing was the most "depressing, ugliest fashion [they had]ever seen!", you clearly haven't been witness to the many waves of fashion over the years. I can remember a particular New York fashion week that was bombarded with deer antler hair and stained rag dresses; the models had mascara tears. A lot of the pieces she has here are very beautiful and classic; under any other brand name I'm sure you'd see that.

not because of the "religious" nature, but because the poorly executed spectacle of the staging took the focus away from the few pieces that were well-crafted.

They aren't being anti-Christian, their first line was inspired by the clothes that Jesus wears in the Christian idea of what Jesus looked like... which isn't at all what he looked like... It was a social commentary, like all fashion is. They just kept the name, because it was a good overall description of what they were about.... social commentary through fashion.
