They had to ugly-fy him cos Guo Jing is not supposed to be good-looking at all. Still, despite those plaits and pulledback hair, I noticed that this actor had good looks from his nice bone structure. Guess no matter what you do, you can't totally disguise a good thing. Of course with the bangs, he turned into an instant heartthrob.

@ChineseChik525 - pulled back to be tied into plaits ala LOCH. You're spot on with the bangs - it needs to be side bangs like at the later part of LOCH and not short full bangs. Sigh, why can't the stylist get it right? I think he also looks sexy and hot in the later part of Myth where he wears a headband - no bangs, just long, thick flowing locks like a hard-rocker *sizzle*.

Can you imagine if Hu Ge surprises us with a half-shaved Qing dynasty look? OMG!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, YH is defi better with hair but not 2 bad without. Never fin The Prince Study - agonisingly slow.

Around epi 43, he wears his long hair loose flowing wt a headband ala heavy metal rockers. Only thing is he looks very cleancut unlike them.

My mom tinks YH and HG look alike, lol.

HG was at his peak, lookwise at Yang Warr, imo. His scars fm the accident makes no diff to me. It's his sunken cheeks since he pulled out some teeth that has aged him a lot. Dunno wat it is in china about pulling out molars (which our dentists here wld nvr advice cos it gives u sunken cheeks). Yang Mi is another eg. So sad.
