  • i remembr having this tape and watchn this everyday

  • I've been searching for this video for the past 2 hours. All I could remember about this was that it was some sort of song that involved a rocket ship and a castle with a monster in the background (which I had a very vivid recollection of for whatever reason). Searching for "old sesame street song with monster castle and space ship" did not find anything, so I started just randomly searching through playlists of old Sesame Street videos and finally found it. Definitely worth the time

  • "We opened up a door and saw a dinosaur.

He was chasing Ernie, but the boy got lucky" Lol

  • Wow I forgot this one too, thanks for refreshing my memory ;)

  • I miss En Vogue!

  • Love the hell outta this

  • Oh man! This was on my favorite tape when I was a kid!

  • it was better then now this show sucks!

  • i know you have heard it all before but this is great and thanks for posting!

  • This was Ernie's first time on camera after Jim Henson died.

  • OMG I remember this haha!

  • Katy Perry should have taken a lesson from these girls. They are covered up and tucked in and are still too cute.

  • @dawnssister exactly

  • And you were the toilet paper

  • @lofoodius ha!

  • is it strange that i love this song period, sesame street aside? lol its a great song PERIOD lol

  • glorious.

  • From 0:43-0:44, was that Snuffy standing next to that tree?

  • OH man I can't believe I remember En Vouge On Sesame Street!! They were my first crush.

  • But this song was the greatest, though.

and plus, I didn't know that En Vogue sang that. I thought that it was the other female group from "Between The Lions".

  • I wished this song would be REMIX"D!!!!!

  • Now i remember this... I think i was like 6 or 7.. and I never forgot it.. All Time fav!!! Thanx so much 4 puttin it up.. I think I have tears LOL!!! KUDOS

  • I wish someone would post the last song of this special. It rocked.

  • I have to admit it, this version is better than the Plaza Sesamo's version.

PS.- In 2:12, Oscar's face is priceless.

  • Is plaza sesamo's version on here? I'd like to hear/see it

  • Yes, it is. =)

Look for MarshalGrover's youtube channel. I saw it there.

  • Yes

  • oh ok

but anyways, who ever did ernie b4 steve, really got into the dancing with the beats!

  • wait a minute

how was ernie dancing like that b4 steve in 1994?

because jim henson was the original puppeteer of erine until 1990 when steve took over since 1993

    i dont understand

    please reply back MarshalGrover.

  • Did it ever occur to you that someone ELSE was doing Ernie? He doesn't have any speaking role so it wouldn't matter.

  • Steve Whitmire took over Ernie since 1990. At the time, Steve Whitmire was also doing Kermit the Frog In and Out of Sesame Street. I remember Ernie and Bert met Rick Moranis in the Airplane.

  • The first time I heard Ernie, Kermit, and Bert's new voice I thought WOW!! They sound more high pitched and I found out about Mr. Jim Henson's unfortunate passing.

  • Frank Oz continued to do Bert until 2001. Steve Whitmire performed Kermit and Ernie from 1990-present.

  • I can never spell Steve's name so thanks for that. And I always wondered who did Bert's voice and that was Frank Oz. Do you know who the new voice is?

  • Bert is now performed by Eric Jacobson.

  • this might be a dumb ?, but y does the purple women always look at dawn next to her when her cue is up?

im jw, b/c she always look at her when her cue is up and the others dont look at her when her cue is up.

did anybody notice that including u MarshalGrover?

  • I Love It!!! I heard this song many years ago and it's the best Sesame Street song ever.

  • @rickyesparza I Remember dancing to this song every time it came on!

  • OMG I remember this! I used to love this song. Now it'll be stuck in my head for days.

  • Wow! I remember this! I worked as a production assistant on this back in 1990 or 1991! Thanks for posting this, it brought back some memories!

  • Shame the dinosaur looked about as convincing as those featured in Doctor Who's Invasion of the Dinosaurs! :-)

  • OMG i luv this song, i had it on vhs a looong time ago.

  • Cheak out Ernie's dance moves! I geuss Steve Whitmire got into it.

  • This was before Steve took over.

  • Oh, I thought this was from 1994.

  • @antsamthompson9 Yeah Ernie was really getting down in this joint.

  • @antsamthompson9 I remember dancing to this when I was little.

  • This is a lot more memorable than their lousy rendition of "I Want a Monster to Be My Friend" from Elmopalooza.

  • Isn't this song copyrighted or is it an orginal Sesame Street song?

  • Of course it's from Sesame Street.

  • Okay, it was just the tune that made it seam like a cover of a song. Thanks for the expilantion.

  • Yay! I love this music video.

  • I like this music video with En Vogue in it.
