  • 640x480? aww youtube in 2008

  • It's a CUBE not a square. And you actually need to render animations as a group of PNGs. So you'll make an image sequence for the animation which you can then put togeather as a video in the sequence editor in Blender. This method is better because if Blender crashes during the render, you can start again from where you left off without losing any data. Oh, and if you want to render HD, You need 1280x720 (for 720p) / 1920x1080 (for 1080p).

  • sounds like someones done the jpeg before lol thank for making this vidoe

  • @putzmitt3l

  • DAMN IT... another worthless TUTOORIAL! even I know that you need to render your frames separately and then put them all together in a video. That way if your computer crashes it will render up to a certain N-numbered frame and the next time you start rendering you can start from the N+1-numberd frame... With your way dear sir ... in this situation I'll end up with a worthless vid file.

  • HELP ME!! when I render current frame with my output folder as /tmp, I render it and I go to my /tmp folder, and it is not there. I have tried using other folders as an output folder, but it just won't show up?! what am I doing wrong

  • pokemon folder? lol

  • Just so you know, instead of closing all of Blender just to stop rendering an animation, you can hold down the esc key.

  • Where does the file go to when you render?

  • @MasterOfMist In the render settings window, in the top left underneath the word output it should have something like "/tmp\". There should be a folder button next to that and then you can choose where you want it to save, but it will also save renders there.

  • omg so many people who use blender are way older than me... i feel like an ameture... then again, i just got the program today...

  • you might have just gotten me into university

  • how do you change the render background colour?

  • @CDFfilms Go into the Shading tab (f5) and then go into the World Buttons tab which looks like Earth. Then click the top right box out of the 3 boxes in that section. It should be the sky colour.

  • @ zzxcrozzy.

In the render options in the 'animation' window the default length is 1 to 250 frames, just edit this length (start and end values) and you should get what you need =)

  • were does it save the avi raw video file to?

  • Thanks a lot!!!!!!!

  • you're pressing F12 and rendering only the current frame, you have to go to render, then render animation, or Ctrl+F12 ;)

  • Thanks its a big help

  • lol thx so much chris.

  • well i hope you no that you can just press esc and then close the render frame. you dont have to close the whole program. well atleast with the version i am using.

  • i have stuff with textures and all that but for some reason when it renders them the render isnt smooth adn colorfull it`s gray and ugly

  • Whenever I render it it is just black for 13 seconds!

  • when you render it, where does it go after you render it? I can not seem to find what I have rendered

  • Under the tab "output" on the scene panel (usually the main panels with the render buttons, the "output" is usually located to the far left). it should have a path labeled "temp", this puts it in a folder on your C: drive labeled "temp". Point this path to a new area to specify output location.

  • im a total noob got this thing today so how do i like rotate the cube that appears when u start it looks like if u ask a 4 years old to draaw u a cube

  • if you mean rotate the camera so you can see it in 3d, hold down the middle mouse button and move the mouse. if you want to rotate the actual cube, have it selected (right click it) then push 'R' and move the mouse

  • I didnt upload this most of them do it their selves teh y cn put whatevr lol , but ya i upload it i will

  • who is teh guy talking?

  • chris, a friend and staff of mine he's cool guy and i thought i'd open my videos to them as well cuz they got some great content

  • Omg... why close whole blender

    try just pressing esc twice

the first one is for pause and

the second one is for exit;) may be a

    handy tip:)

  • i know! that way there is no risk in forgetting to save it.
