they need 4(two on each side) of those minigun's they have for the blackhawks and kiowa's. that would make it now capable of being a tactical gun ship for larger operations
The Osprey has a .50 cal mount on the back of the ramp for specific mission use, but for the most part it dosent need protection. It's got the rangers and PJ's onboard for that.
The thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't carry weapons to defend itself! I'd like to see an improvised weapon system on it! Like a chin turret! Can it carry vehicles? I've head that it is smaller! I want this thing to be safe for our troops and be a reliable over the horizon weapons system!

This is the "blank" version, it get's outfitted later for it's specific role. The C130 for instance isn't armed. The AC130 on the other hand, is the same aircraft, but some major modifications were made, and voila, it's now a gunship.
This can go much faster t han the Pave Low. IDK why they didn't in the video, but they can point the propellers foward so t it can act as an airplane as well as a helicoptor
