Starcraft was nice, but I like SCII--and I played both extensively so I make a valid opinion. Starcraft still holds it`s own place as it has more of a sci-fi feel, while SC II they took a more realistic turn. Starcraft Zerg was more creepy, SC II Zerg made better sense as infestors on the surface. However, the WoL campaign does bring back the "terror" feel of the zerg that isn`t felt in multiplayer. Protoss is the most greatly improve concept, the voices especially sound more "otherworld".

So what if graphics look prettier? I didn't sign to Starcraft 1 + BW for beauty you know and neither did Blizzard's old customers..

But besides the baby toy looking graphics, that's not what pissed me off.. the story killed this game for me, it simply went Warcraft 3 story on us! don't think some nifty graphics (like blood) covered that from us, its clear as a crystal lake. Just check HotS expansions.

@eddylovesutube yeah but nobody paid 60 bucks for the first third of the first starcraft, heck, 15 bucks now will get you starcraft with brood war, 6 times the campain at 1/4 the cost. Also, with starcraft, it was copied by Halo Wars, with starcraft 2, the graphics are copied FROM Halo Wars. Also, in starcraft 1, the ghosts didnt talk like they were constipated, and the unit portraits were much cooler.

Starcraft is actually harder than it's sequel. This is caused by bad way points, only 12 units "use-cap" and stupid harvesters.

Zerg rush = easiest stuff on hell. Also if you are defending.

I have a good theory, I don't think any of the classic units will be removed from the game than multiplayer. All of the Terran units exist still, but for campaign only.

To see that already involved the units, like lurkers and Dragoons, will possibly be present for their respected campaign. In Multiplayer, you'll still be stripped to the more apropriate tech-tree.

Everything else, like Macro, is better in SCII. SCII is of the rare sequals to keep it's predecessor's original appearances.
