Unless you don't believe in the "law" of SUPPLY and DEMAND, then you do these "intervention" things.

The coca is a natural plant of that region; unless and until people in the rich countries in Asia, Europe, and North America stop demanding cocaine, all kinds of people WILL keep harvesting coca leaves & turning them into cocaine, to keep up with their side of the SUPPLY-DEMAND equation.

Also, you can't buy as many and the newest M16s, AK47s, missiles, & other expensive goods with bananas.
