Posso acrescentar? Compre, de preferência, arroz tipo agulhinha, e nunca parboilizado! Na minha opinião, fica bem melhor...
E a dica principal: NUNCA, NUNCA mexa no arroz enquanto estiver cozinhando na água!
I was at a brazilian churrascaria in San Diego, CA and I ate this rice that had meat in it, but it was seasoned. Do you know of any recipes like that? Oh and they had a really yummy brazilian cola, but I don't know the name. It was in a green can and started with a g...
The cola is `Guaraná`, brazilian fruit that they make the cola. Sure it is `Guaraná Antártica`, of the green can. And the rice probably is `Arroz Carreteiro`, very good!
Agora, about the wedding, relax! I'll never fall in love again, oh no! ahahahahaha.. Kisses from faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away São Paulo.
Good job, it is pretty much the way rice is prepared in Brasil. As mingbrasil said, make sure you don't add too much water to avoid getting a risotto instead of fluffy rice.
thank you

I made this today, and it was so good. I added a cup of peas and carrots to it though. This side dish is good with baked Tilapia.

It's very simple:
The right amount of water is twice the amount of rice.
Ex. for every cup of rice, add 2 cups of water.
Personally, after adding water I turn down the heat to avoid the risk of burning it.
It's SO delish!

good recipe, one thing though beaware of the amount of water you add, too much water makes it bad.
