  • i love the cartright family

  • damn thats kinda catchy

  • i like the part where he sings, if you dont give hoss a reach around, then joe wont toss your salad

  • I still watch Bonanza, each character was unique, that Adam sure liked to take off his shirt & sing, Little Joe sure liked to fight AND HOSS the GENTLE GIANT. PA with his perfect hair.

  • Ben Cartwright! Have you no shame?

  • Your genius is immeasurable! That was so fitting that the boys were on rocks when he sang "every rock and pine". Go for it!

  • What does Ben say at the very end? Something about dynamite?

  • Ben says "If your brains were dynamite, you couldn't blow your nose".

  • Too funny! Thanks!

  • Heh, got this 45 in my collection!

  • no... really?

  • uouuu!!!! bonanza!!! i love eric "hoss"!! dan bocker is my hero!!

each punch, each certificate of death!!!

  • Trivia : did you know Dan Blocker Hoss had a

    PhD ?

did you know he founded the Ponderosa steakhouse?

  • Lorne Green has an awsome voice!

  • HAHA. Commander Adama sings! How surreal.

  • So, anybody been to the set where all the Bonanza shows were produced? It's at Lake Tahoe. I think they closed it down a few years ago. You could go in to the actual building where they filmed, even try on some of the few remaining clothes. There were old left over wagon frames, etc. on the grounds. It was surrounded by those Ponderosa Pines. It was amazing so many episodes came out of that plot of ground near the lake.

  • (Second Part)

Here in the West, we're livin' the best, Bonanza, if anyone fights any one of us, he's go a fight with me, Bonanza.

Hoss and Joe and Adam know every rock and pine, no one works, fights, or eats, like those boys of mine. Here we stand in the middle of a grand Bonanza.

With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope, we planted our family tree, we got hold of a potful of gold, Bonanza.

  • Here are the words: (First part)

    Bonanza

We chased lady luck, 'til we finally struck Bonanza.

With a gun and a rope and a hat full of hope, planted a family tree. We got hold of a pot of gold, Bonanza.

With a horse and a saddle, and a range full of cattle, how rich can a fellow be?

On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name, fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim.

  • Dan Blocker and Michael Landon had records out at the same time; but Lorne Greene was the only one to have a major hit---------Ringo hit #1

  • Never heard this version. Where did you come up with it? This theme is part of American culture. Thanks.

  • The song is from the 1964 RCA Victor LP - Welcome to the Ponderosa, an evening of songs and stories with Lorne Greene
