My travel soccer team took a trip to Fiji and I beleive there was an invitational tournament we were invited too and we played a local team and they beat us 3 to 0. I know football isnt the biggest played sport on Fiji but these kids were good and played with a lot of heart.

Not necessarily... Depends where you want to stay. Although if you wanted to spend most of your time in the outer islands such as the Mamanucas or the Yasawas then yes, it probably would cost a lot. But you could do a great trip to Fiji by travelling around Viti Levu and taking some day trips out to the Mamanucas, on average just over $100/day trip. I would recommend travelling around Viti Levu to experience the other side of Fiji life.
I've been in Summer and Winter. Nadi is hot and dry all year around with temps ranging from 25-30. Suva is more humid, esp in Summer! Winter is probably quite nice, most people travel then because it is less humid but the temperature is still in the high 20s (Celcius that is)..
Ya, I love Samui, Thailand Island in the Gulf of Thailand, and it other sister Isles, and winter is the best time, so thanx Jay, I appreciate your time

a nice place if you bury your head in the sand and ignore what the locals are suffering under it's illegal regime !
Suva for example , is full of beggars , stinks and is looking more like an Indian slum than ever .
