@LadyLatias Yes, Ike and Chi-Chi are... Mike isn't :/ His feet got nerve damage from suspected lead poisoning, so he couldn't grasp with his feet anymore. We tried to help but with no luck, and we still don't know where he could've been exposed to lead.

Thanks for the advice, but we used to take them out, our first parakeet, Popcorn, a little yellow Budgie with a big green spot on her back, got away from me and my sister while we were loving her, she flew into the wall and got brain damage, she was so tiny, I was scared to hold her tightly, so, I guess I didn't hold her tight enough, she died last year. So now we dont take them out, and only stick our hands in the cage when we need to.

Talk to your birdies, whistle to them, give them toys to play with and shake them to make noises with them. Don't give up!

I myself have a budgie that I'm trying to hand-tame but she is still skittish. She likes whistling and talking to me whenever she is in her house though.

We would shake their toys so they'd rattle, but even time we get withing 6 inches of the cage, they go nuts. Hey, what color is your budgie? My two parakeets are albinos, though Pop-Pop is a yellow albino, I mean it.

Her name is Skye. White head, blue chest and back, and her wings are various shades of grey and white. Her tail is blue too.

As for your tweeties, it takes time and patience to get them to trust you. Just give a whistle or a phrase when you open the door to change food, water, toys etc, and keep doing it.
