2: The reasons Newdow challenged mentions of a god are simply because it runs counter to the Constitution of the U.S.A. for government to endorse a religion.

How about instead of "In god we trust" and "one nation under god" we put "one nation under reason and science" i think that would be a lot better.

My main problem with "In God We Trust" is its falsehood. Anyone who wants to keep it is perpetuating a lie.
It's the "We" that offends me. It should offend Christians too. We should not need the courts at all.
