  • I'm 16 and I understand it :))

  • Oh come on!! I learned typing from 1960!! We pushed that damn "carriage return" as it was called, with the LEFT hand!! And yes, when we eventually got electric typewriters, it took a long time for the hand lifting habit to go away!! The carriage moved from right to left, and then you had to RETURN it the start, so that your letters would start on the left of the page!! Only a secretary/typiste would know!!!

  • Do you have any idea who made the video so you could at least give her the credit?

  • im 12 and i get it. typewriters arent unknown to young people

  • I'm 13 years old and i got it... it is not that hard to figure out..

  • @atjo1234

What do you want? A medal?

  • LOLOL!!

    Very good!!! :d

  • Hey I did steno typing and after we got blessed with IBM Selectrics, it took a LONG time to stop raising my arm to slap that carriage return lever!!

  • hahaha - funny but this is NOT how the carriage worked anyway, it was the opposite direction! You had to push it with the RIGHT hand so that it returned to the LEFT.

  • Absolutely. Wrong hand!

  • Hi wandaloskot,

I think your suggestion only works for Arab and Hebrew. If you push the carriage to the left for a new line, your letters are pointed to the right side of the paper...

  • i am under 35 and i got it dude it is not that hard to figure out
