  • Starting school to be an RN too!! I wanna work in neonatology or plastic surgery or wound care specialist

  • Bags under eyes caused by a shadow from a piece of fat under the eye. A plastic surgeron can remove the fat and the blackness under eyes will leave.

  • wouldn't makeup be cheaper?

  • You look good too, no more weight loss!

  • Amelia you are beautiful!!! and COLLEGE! YES! you are such an RN! Holy crap nursing school is HARD but you can do it! I love you so much...you have helped me so much. I will send you a before and after pic! I will be praying for you and your friend.

  • Ameila, thank you! You are not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside too. Thank you for being so real!!! I am going for a Tummy Tuck next week and I am SO scared...thank you for sharing so much...I will take you with me when I go so I won't feel so alone. :-) Your new fan!! K.

  • OMG! why do people feel the NEED to point out a flaw?!?! dont we ALL have flaws?! i mean come on!...soOOoo many people have dark circles, its common! ugh..people really aggrivate me!

  • I love your eyes! they're nice and BIG! So beautiful!

  • I like that you have dated this vlog. It's hard to tell which are your newest one. Can you please continue to date your vlogs? Thanks

  • Your scar has faded so much. You look awesome.

  • Hi Amelia... Just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I've been considering having a tummy tuck after losing 115 pounds. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BLUNT HONESTY! This is definately NOT a bad thing, but after watching your videos I've decided it's not for me. I've never been under the knife before (lost weight by calorie counting) and decided a tummy tuck probably wasn't a good place to start. However, if I ever change my mind I will be making a much more educated decision thanks to you. Ur amazing

  • Hi Amelia, I have been watching your vids for months now and have never commented. I had gastric bypass on August 14th of 2008. I have lost 198 pounds since then. I love your vids! Keep 'em coming! Your eyes are perfect! Forget about what those people say!

    Terrence

  • Oh please, please, don't worry about the eyes....it definitily doesn't show..and I should know because I have inherited the dark circles from grandma...but in your videos it doesn't show....just that one time from BAD lighting.... you are beautiful no matter what...for sure

  • You are you and you are Fantastic! Keep up your good work Keep taking care of yourself, sometimes people will say things, good or bad and we have to make our own judgement! Whatever

I am going to try to lose weight again I am over 230's used to be 130 when younger! And..they thought I was FAT in the 130's LOL Things, situations can put one down Food ends up taking over somehow! The weight creeped up so fast I didn't even understand what happened Hope your friend is doing better & <3 ur CATS!

  • IT's amazing your change. You're an example for all the humanity. Every night I watch your first videos and the last ones. I see such a difference! Your voice is even different! you're so confident now! You're a beautiful girl. But I have a question. When we make a surgery to remove the extra skin, do u think we still can have elasticy enough to have children? That is the biggest question I have and never heard an answer about that or at least I've not been with attention. lol

  • I also became severly anemic after like 3 yrs out and I was referred by my doctor to an oncologist and have been on IRON infusions since.... I get an IRON infusion 2 times a yr along with an occasional vitamin B12 injection..... the IRON restored energy and color to my palely white skin and helped a whole lot with hair retention.... best thing is that my insurance pays for it all.... Just FYI

I'll be checking out ur vids..... Thank you So much U r very inspiring..... God Bless!

  • Omg! u r great! I've been up all night watching ur videos! I had a gastric bypass 7 yrs ago and a tummy tuck 2 yrs ago and I'm considering an arm lift and thigh lift ...... but we'll see =) I wanted to share with u guys what worked for my HAIR LOSS ...... I bought it at walgreens and the name of the product is NU HAIR.... I swear by it ....... i had thick curly hair and after the bypass it all just thinned out and lost its shine and was really brittle.... this product works

  • i have been following u since ur very 1st vid.. has ur hair grown back.. my hair is just as thin and thinner than urs now.. im not at goal weight yet im 20 lbs away but.. my hair.. im wearing a wig now.. pls tell me what u have done or will do.. im thinking of getting hair extensions but maybe our hair... my hair isnt strong enough. what u think?

  • Hi Amelia! I 've been following your updates and they are inspiring! I am an RN in the operating room and we started to do bariatric surgeries not so long ago and it's very interesting! Good luck with your project! I have a question that maybe someone has already asked you: Before your surgery, did you hesitate between the gastric sleeve and the roux-en y? If so, how did you make your choice? I am schedule for bypass on august 17 and I still haven't made my choice...By the way,you look great!!

  • hey there!

I never even noticed bags under your eyes! too into what you were talking about. The video from VA I assumed was mascara! Anyway! Love your videos. I am getting my bypass done in 9 days I am on a liquid diet now. About 5 hours into it and I am not starving yet! LOL!! Very proud of you and thanks for helping me!!!

  • Hey Amelia...I am 35 yrs old and just graduated from nursing school w/ RN! It took me 5 yrs to accomplish my goal. I also had bypass in the middle of school! Set your goals and push forward you can accomplish them! You look great and I completely understand the under 170 thing!

  • It was really just that one video with the dark circles under your eyes. I think it was just the lighting. Don't worry about it.

  • Also, I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out who it is that I think you bear resemblance to and I think I got it....I'm wondering if anyone has ever told you that you look a bit like Uma Thurman? She is gorgeous so I hope that you dont take any offense to that because I know that you are you but theres just been that hint of familiarity in your face. I hope that you have a great week and I look forward to future postings from you! God bless

  • Hey Amelia! I have been following you for a few weeks now and I do really enjoy your vlogs. You look fantastic! • OMG, Going back to school is crazy and wonderful at the same time. I went back 3 years ago and have 1 year until I graduate. Then I want to go right back and go to graduate school to get my masters or doctorate. I love school, but it gets hectic and you want to quit sometimes, but I think you will enjoy it. Where r you foing to be going? Will it be a university or a technical school?

  • Hi to Brandi, I couldn't find her channel.

  • You look great....you realize that there's always something someones gonna talk about us for...our weight , our hair, our skin, our hell...everything. You'll be perfect and your toes will be goofy or something weird lol

  • totally, and i realize that the exposure of the internet makes me suseptible to the scrutiny that actual celebrities endure. All in all it was just people who love and care about me being concerned, no malice really which makes me feel fortunate

  • Well, if it makes you feel any better I just did another vlog with no makeup on....wouldn't do it if it wasn't for you and realizing that it doesn't matter what others think! I felt like doing it, so I did it! (then again, I'm not gonna watch it, because I'll probably cringe and delete it like I did the others! LOL)

  • Sorry people keep harassing you about the eye-bags. LOL I think that is pure silliness. I would imagine though that a lot of youtube people are just attached to you, and your past health scare and emergency surgery freaked them out so they are looking for outward signs of illness or health warnings.... just a thought. Thanks for sharing your breakfast!! That sounds yummy :)

  • So true!

  • I think you do the best videos...you are so real (that's a great thing) and so brave to show us all what you have been through with your WLS. I will pray for the guy in ICU(your co worker) I hope you keep doing YouTube!

  • Sorry to hear people are being so rude about your eye-bags. I guess that's the things with putting yourself *out there* on YouTube. Some people just can't help but be rude. I am dreading my first *hurtful* comment, though where would we be without ALL the haters posting their poisonous comments, LOL

Glad to see you back posting again! I don't often comment, but I am an avid fan :-)

  • I think its wonderful that you will study to be a nurse. There is a shortage of nurses. i think you will like it. ou like to help others.Good for you.

    Congratulations on writing your book.

sometimes there are soom tragic things that happen. my son was a sheriff. He was on his wa to help a family that had been in an accident. He was hit by a drunk driver head on who was driving on the wrong side of the highway. They flew me out to the Shock Trama in Baltimore. He was touch and go for a while.
