You can't make everyone happy. Some people are happy when they relax, read books, watch tv, exercise, etc. People have different ways of being happy. Addressing individual interests would be hard. I love watching funny vids, but some dont.
You can only address people similar to you. Do what you love, and folks will love it. Like your fart videos .. not everyone loved it, but many did. .. Take home message - Do what makes you happy, and you will make others happy without even knowing it.

Great idea, we need some more positivity. It's easy to get frustrated with not achieving more, but I find makes me happy to stop and remember that I'm doing the best I can, and that's a big deal right there.

You should go around with your video camera, and interview people about what makes them happy, in an inspirational/funny way. Put some inspirational videos on there such as 'Free Hugs', and funny videos like ones with you and your kids.
Make it an interactive website where people can submit videos telling us what makes them happy. Like have viewers make a video collage of pictures/audio/video about what makes them happiest.

I'm sorry to always throw a wet blanket on things, but we don't all have the right to be happy. We have the right to pursue what makes us happy. Everyone thinks they need to be happy all the time. That's unrealistic, and that's why so many people take anti-depressants.
Lots of people do. They're always looking for their next "fix". Something that will make them happy right now. A new song, a new thing they can buy, a new relationship, whatever. The fact is, a lot of life is miserable and tedious. Maybe we should learn acceptance and understanding, rather than thinking we should always feel happiness and bliss.

Nalts, you hit the nail on the head! I've read some of these self-help books and they truly have changed the way I live. Not superficially, but at my core. Like you said, happiness doesn't just happen, you have to work at it. You have to remind yourself constantly of what TRULY matters. All-in-all I try to find the silver lining in EVERY situation. I try to not fight everything. And I'm working at basing my happiness on non-material things. I don't want to be judged by what I own (or don't)

I am a happy person life just SUCKS right now. I'll get over it. Anyway, there use to be a site I found back in 1999-2000 ish call Centre for the Easily Amused. It was kind of like a search engine for wacky stuff. Random webcams, the end of the internet was there, Neopets, JoeCartoon, etc. It was prettier back in the day with a bubbles and links but how about that click on a germ/virus and it will take you somewhere random. webcam germs, joke germs, cartoon germs, sticker germs, etc......

You should consider the idea of having a specific day of the week(if time permits) where you have 'Fun Day' with your family. Sounds lame at first thought, but I'm sure you could make it interesting.

I think if you do things to make yourself happy you're always going to be slightly disappointed. Happiness comes in spurts and moments and unexpectedly. Sometimes, things you wouldn't expect would make you happy, do. And, sometimes things you think should make you happy, don't. Perhaps it's good it's somewhat illusive and fleeting.
Life is an echo. If you smile at someone, they will most likely smile back. If you look angry to someone, they will probably be angry in return. Keep smiling and laughing! It will definitely come back to you. The world needs more smiles, laughter, and love.

i would make them nice but complement unusal things like how someones hair doesn't look as bad today as it did yesterday. because sometimes it is hard to find nice things to say to ppl. and it is still kinda funny cause they don't know if it was a complement about how nice there hair is today or an insult about how bad there hair was yesterday.

my happy gauge is on full now, after watching this.. I think you should do some sort of national holiday.. just thinking out loud. something like national hug day, or frown upside down day.. atleast in UncleNalts land, if not the whole world

Nalts, you hit the nail on the head! I've read some of these self-help books and they truly have changed the way I live. Not superficially, but at my core. Like you said, happiness doesn't just happen, you have to work at it. You have to remind yourself constantly of what TRULY matters. All-in-all I try to find the silver lining in EVERY situation. I try to not fight everything. And I'm working at basing my happiness on non-material things. I don't want to be judged by what I own (or don't)

it's not wishful thinking, positivity is the key and life is what you make it. the ability to find joy even in adverse situations is all in the perception and focus. The best way to spread happiness is to announce appreciation for those who have positively impacted your life even in a small way. What a great idea, nalts. You've made my day.

I am a happy person life just SUCKS right now. I'll get over it. Anyway, there use to be a site I found back in 1999-2000 ish call Centre for the Easily Amused. It was kind of like a search engine for wacky stuff. Random webcams, the end of the internet was there, Neopets, JoeCartoon, etc. It was prettier back in the day with a bubbles and links but how about that click on a germ/virus and it will take you somewhere random. webcam germs, joke germs, cartoon germs, sticker germs, etc......

You should consider the idea of having a specific day of the week(if time permits) where you have 'Fun Day' with your family. Sounds lame at first thought, but I'm sure you could make it interesting.

I am with you Uncle Nalts. I too am a self help nerd I listen to those same people & I also like Tony Robbins. I really want to do this same kind of thing in fact I have been wanting to do an audio book titled the Champion With in. Maybe do some testimonial videos of people who have overcome things and found happiness amidst struggle. I would love to be involved let me know in anyway I can assist.

I think if you do things to make yourself happy you're always going to be slightly disappointed. Happiness comes in spurts and moments and unexpectedly. Sometimes, things you wouldn't expect would make you happy, do. And, sometimes things you think should make you happy, don't. Perhaps it's good it's somewhat illusive and fleeting.
