  • its wonderful

  • HERMOSO

  • The blue cover for Amnesiac in the beginning would've been awesome for a B-side :D

  • radioheads best song imo. one of the (if not the) most beautiful songs i've ever heard.

  • sad..so sad

    ..so beautiful

  • @0:45 guy yells "SPINNING PLATES!"

  • ONE OF THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCE EVER!!!!! BY ANYONE THUMBS P IF YOU AGREE

  • @TheSkyIsFallingInn It would be if he hadn't of fucked up the bridge.

  • My brother was actually the one who recognized this song first and for most. that first bout of audience explosion is because my brother recognized it before anyone else! Believe me or not. I was there and my brother really was the first one to figure out the song! I'll remember it for the rest of my life! I love you Matt!

  • @jdubrich sorry can I just confirm that your brother recognized this song first?

  • everyone stop talking and listen.

  • Are there any singers who could possibly do sing to my instrumental version of this? /watch?v=nFojvhm0uW4

  • i got this ep 1 yr after it came out. i have been addicted to Radiohead since... i feel in love with this song.

  • The cover looks amazing in yellow :D

    I LOVE THIS SONG!

And this just feels like spinning plates

I'm living in cloud cuckoo land

And this just feels like spinning plates

My body's floating down a muddy river.

    Best song about Cuckoos EVER.

  • @johny5times I think this more about lions than anything else.

  • @johny5times kind of crummy to make dumb jokes about such an important song.

  • @truthslap haha get a grip you tedious prick.

  • @johny5times eat your fast food and make more jokes about important music you disgusting cretin.

  • @truthslap I hereby award you 10 internets for a disturbing lack of perspective. Get over yourself.

  • @johny5times will you fuck off already? your jokes are inappropriate, your responses are immature, you contribute nothing to any serious discussion or music. get on with your schoolyard jokes idiot, nobody is impressed with people who cover their inability to understand songs with stupid jokes.

  • @truthslap Inappropriate? Serious discussion?? This is the comments section for a youtube video not the fucking UN. See previous comment about perspective and say 10 hail Marys, God might forgive you, but I won't. For the record, I perfectly understand the meaning of this song, I just find someone getting all high and mighty about it pretty funny. Internetting - Serious Business!

  • @johny5times Why is this still going, why do you continue trying to cover your shame to me? I only said it's "kind of crummy to make dumb jokes about an important song". groove on it if you don't like it you uptight bastard.

  • @truthslap You're calling me an uptight bastard? I make a light hearted joke and you turn it into a big deal with your self important anally retentive drudgery. The only reason I'm keeping this going is to see what shite you come out with next. Define shame, because we seem to be miles apart here. I'm having a laugh at your expense... so keep up the good work!

  • Some bands make MUSIC... Other bands make MAGIC !! Radiohead will always be '' One of the other bands ''. Amazing performance ! Best part of this EP

  • @Keristes nobody gives a shit that you are buying the new album. STFU.

  • @PsychoticTheory Are you serious? So instead of commenting something about the video, it's better if I post "hutch sent me here", something that has nothing of value to this video? Fuck off.

  • @Keristes simmer down lad

  • @PsychoticTheory Write in proper english, and then I might. =)

  • @Keristes its the internet, your not writing an essay

  • i think this and the album version are equally as emotional.

  • So much better than the album version. All stemming from the thought of 'how do we play a song played backwards on record live'. Thom basically wrote another piece of music (piano line). Amazing

  • I'll listen to this over and over again, inviting those cold feelings I once felt, even if it tears up my insides and reminds me of the past I left behind. That feeling....

  • both versions are equally awesome

  • @ofMilwaukee except you can understand the versus much more clearly in the live version. I like that

  • this song is the best !!! Beautiful

  • I am dying... so wonderful hopeless and sad.

  • WHO can dislike this? WHO?

  • @AnaYorke Some Noel fuckin' Gallagher fan

  • @AnaYorke gaga's fans

  • Epic times infinity plus 1

  • 'Wow' doesn't even get it right.

  • the most simply amazing thing about this song, and radiohead in general, is the insane chord progressions and changes. It is pure genius, nearly always

  • Live in Toronto? Correct? The night he made all the jokes about each song being sponsored by different companies.

  • This version is above average human understanding. I am so happy to live in Radiohead's era, Its like living during Mozart's

  • Agree with everyone here - this is one of the best live RH songs. Shows off the beauty of the solo piano and Thom's voice......

  • the bass makes this so much better

  • One of the best songs I've heard live its way better than amnesiac's version (even if amnesiac's is still amazing)

  • loving the colour changes

  • is there a recording of this version anywhere without the crowd noise?

  • The harrowing sounds of the piano and Thom's voice are able to capture the despiration in a way that just beats the album version. Brilliance!

This is my second favorite Radiohead song, second to Street Spirit.

  • While you make pretty speeches,

    I'm being cut to shreds.

You feed me to the lions,

    a delicate balance

When this just feels like spinning plates.

I'm living in cloud cuckoo land.

And this just feels like spinning plates

Our bodies floating down the muddy river.

  • god damnit i felt that shit in my soul for fuck sakes... unreal

  • My ears seriously just had an orgasm :)

  • is thom playing the piano and singing?

  • First time I've heard this song and i'm completely blown right now..

    Just beautiful

  • This song is love.

  • where and when was this live version recorded?

  • While you make pretty speeches/ im being cut to shreds/ you feed me to the lions/ a delicate balance/ and this just feels like spinning plates/ I'm living in cloud cuckoo land/ And this just feels like spinning plates/ Our bodies floating down the muddy river

  • there are no words to describe how it feels to play this on piano at the same time

  • if u like this! check out by your side by tenth avenue north! yaw!

  • This song is intensely beautiful. The only other that could contest it for my favourite tune ever is 'High Hopes' by Pink Floyd. Check it out ;)

  • @MetalRob79 High Hopes is an amazing song

  • F*cking amazing, simply beautiful. This live version is definitely one of my favorite all-time songs.

  • Well the atmospheric bridge of the studio version apparently leads to a time slowing, emotional destruction of that very bridge where you are left falling back to your own reality with nothing to grab onto but the debris of the destruction.

In other words, was not prepared for this. Too beautiful.

  • Pure beauty :)

  • this song is bursting with pure emotion, another masterpiece from radiohead, brilliant

  • amnesiac album changing colour.

  • @adredo9 it's called ENGLISH not AMERICAN the language you speak, your argument is invalid.

  • awesome♥

  • I was at this show. Needless to say, I'm one of the many voices shouting when he starts singing. Great video. I often sing this song to myself when I see politicians talking on TV or when I'm walking in my neighborhood late at night...

  • i like the color transitions.

  • NIIIICE VERSION

  • this song made me have nervous breakdrown the last time i heard it--took me 5 years and 4 months to recover, it happened when thom's vocals kicked in...oh bugger, cloud cuckoo land beckons me, i'll see you in 2015 xxx

  • This song made me learn piano.

  • it makes me learn it again

  • @darkvvulf omg! Me too right?!!

  • Hahah, me too! still my strongest song on the keys..

  • so beautiful.

  • interesting voice, and love the piano!

  • I dunno, I do like the album version, but theres something about adding the piano to this song that makes it just awesome...

  • I like the amnesiac version better, but no mistake both are truly amazing

  • 0:42 lol

  • simply amazing, pure beauty!

  • this version is mindblowing

  • ha. bass fell behind a bit in the beginning.

  • Wow I have never heard Like Spinning Plates live but that's because the album version isn't my favourite song from Amnesiac ... But I just changed my mind. Whoever thought of the piano is the best person in the band :D I'm really amazed by that song.

  • Yeah, now that I heard early versions of Lucky, I will and There There, I know that Radiohead's songs are way more creative in the beginning. That's probably because the "awesome" publishers want something different (that fits THEIR taste). I heard that the Klaxons had their new album completely scrapped just because the publisher wasn't happy with it... luckily Radiohead can do what they want now and produce even more creative stuff such as the In Rainbows.

  • that's just plain wrong.

First of all, the "publisher" or the record company had no effect on Kid A and Amnesiac whatsoever. It's all radiohead's choice.

They probably just thought that LSP sounds better in the studio version.

BTW early versions of Lucky are the same as the studio - actually, studio is better.

As for There There, studio is much better then any other version.

  • I think that's part of what's great about Radiohead. You hear the album and you're like, "This is the greatest thing in my life right now," and then you hear the live version and you're completely blown away--almost angry you weren't listening to this the whole time. It's got a greater impact, you wouldn't be able to fully comprehend the beauty had you not heard the other, "butchered" version.

  • actually,

radiohead themselves wanted to go for a more electronic, fucked up sound, to represent the fucked up ideas in thom's head. in my opinion, the delayed drum beats in videotape were phenomenal.

  • @theatomguy11 yeah, i think the same, i really like the studio versions of those songs and i don't understand why most people don't

  • @LuisDivision The piano man, the fucking piano

  • @SuperSilkyJohnson watch?v=BAKwOruPqFo

  • I dunno if I'd call it butchering.

  • el puré de papas es perfecto!!!

  • La perfección pura.

    The pure perfección.

  • Thats exactly what i was thinking too ;) sounds so much better the way you say it

  • No podría definir mejor esta versión ;)

  • thanks for posting
