THAT is clearly a kind of dog, not a cat. It looks a lot like a fox and moves like one too. It's just lacking fur for some reason I'd rather not think about.
That's a damed long tailed dog..It could also be a chupacabra if it were in Texas..call Art Bell, quickly. It could be a matter of life and laughs. Greetins from Bama. The legs are too long for a fox or cat. Maybe it's a really thin Hyena?
I believe it is a South American relatifve of a fox which terrified local inhabitants into believing in the "chupacabra". This film probably was not taken in the states.
Doesn't look like a fox, more like the half-starved looking coyotes we have here in NW Washington. They run down the city streets, even in the daytime, chase and kill cats and small dogs and get into cat food left outside and into our garbage cans. We can hear them howling at night.
It looks like a Sampson fox, which is a genetic mutation that occurs in probably less than one percent of the fox population. I actually saw one running along a road and into the woods about two weeks ago in eastern Tenn.
your crazy the Wampus Cat is a southern tell ok its like the boogie man exept its a mountain cat i would know i live up hear in the mountains my granpaw would tell me storys to make me behave that aint no wampus cat
That's a cute little fox with mange (or possibly a hairless mutation, like sphynx cats). looks like it's very industrious in its insectivore lifestyle! So... fox + mange = wampus cat. Good to know one can confuse a canid with a felid.
haha sorry i was a wampus cat in high school (like the mascot) and its a native american legend about a woman who tries to spy on her husband wearing a bob cat skin and is caught and transformed into 1/2 woman 1/2 wild cat. but we were told it was a big blue cat with six arms/legs in school haha
its chupacabra. the wampus cat my family has seen its huge looks like the wolf off of 300 but is a cat

@Circumpunk No, there is no recent hyena species that looks like that. It is definitely a mangy fox, the only thing I can't tell is the species.
