They're both praised by critics whether they deserve to be or not. In fact, Ruffalo is a critic fave for some reason. I would argue that they're both a little overrated, especially Ruffalo. Ruffalo is competent at playing disheveled douchebags that's it. Rockwell definitely has more range and talent.
this movie was so wonderful. I wish we could see more of mark ruffalo in roles like this and not his small supporting roles he usually does. He truly has a talent that no one seems to recognize.
I love Laura Linney!!She's been in so many great movies and that woman can ACT!!!she's one of the best!!i hope we'll see her soon with an academy award.

Laura Linney was WAY better than Julia Roberts. Laura Linney should have won Best Actress in 2000. NOT Julia Roberts for "Erin Brockovich."
