WOW! Gosh oh gee! Do you have it in your living room? In that case it must be a mightmare for you to move. I´ve got a collection of many thousands of 78 rpm records and i´m telling you, what a nightmare to move!
Thanks ever so much for the lovley piece of music you´ve provided me with!
@Schillingsanders Hi, yes it is in the large music room I have on the 2d floor. 24 steps up there with a 180 turn half-way. The console top separates from the bottom making it slightly easier. But the 17 speakers, each about 90 lbs were evern more of a problem. But it is all up there and I think will come down the stairs a bit easier!! :)
No wonder, Walt's private instrument. I would imagine he has one of the models named after him in his home at the present, and for him, the price was right, hahaha. We mortals must purchase our own. Me, I built mine using software available at various VirTual Theater Pipe Organ websites. It is a 3/24 built around a genuine theater pipe organ console of completely unknown origin with software and samples from just about everywhere including my own creation. Just like hobbyists build pipe organs.
Beautiful voicing job by Mr. Strony. Some of these GW's 'have it', others don't. This one does, as does the one in Allen's Octave Hall. Where was this recorded? (If you say Octave Hall, then I'm offically a dummy)
@steamrocks This was recorded at my home in a large live music room. The GW4 was previously owned by Walt. The current model in Octave Hall is the model that replaced the GW4 - it is the STR4 which was designed by Walt Strony. He also voiced the one in Octave Hall.
I am not sure that you received my other message. I said that I have always wanted to play one of those big big organs. But.......... Very nice. I have also recorded that song . Your might give it a listen. Sharon Hopper
@sharonhop Thanks!! Yours is Very nice indeed!! I am a subscriber and friend - so I do see your videos - always looking for more!! Thanks for looking at mine. I have to organize one or two more soon.
By a professional voicer who has access to an Allen software program called "Dove" available to dealers and used with a laptop connected to the organ.
Allens are smashing organs in the right hands I have head people play them and they sound nothing like a real Theatre Organ but this sounds so realistic if I only head the soundtrack I would think it was a real WurliTzer
If you need the exact transcription for this its in "Theatre Organ Greats" ..( A Salute to Radio City Music Hall) Arranged by Rex Koury published by Bradley Publications 1979. Beautifully played - I think Allen are actually getting there at last !
A wonderful job with one of my favorite selections. Few know the story of the piece of music. It came from the Broadway show "Carnival in Flanders" which closed the first night. The music was so good that the composition survived when the show did not.
I'm gonna have to say please continue more often! HTRD is one of my favorite tunes, it is rendered here with a full sense of the registration possibilities of this magnificent Allen GW4 Digital masterpiece. Karnak would have wept -and speaking of weeping-nice showcase of this beauty's Tibias with the open harmony @1:50. What more could you ask for - oh yeah GW to signoff on the piece - I guess the autograph on the 3rd manual will have to do.

A wonderful video! I always think one requires a pilot's license to play such an organ! A really rich
experience to hear it played in this way. My thanks
to Nice2Carol for the recommendation. Warmest regards from SoFL, ~Terry
