Nice! I had the RVW setting at my wedding and found the original score in a facsimile copy of the coronation service for Elizabeth II (Novello, ISBN 9780711995963). There's a lot of other excellent choral music in there, of course, as well as it being an interesting bit of history.
It's VERY close ! You did really well working this out by ear. They are the most amazing key changes in the last verse, aren't they? I've heard R.V.W's arrangement accompanied by Brass - but always prefer it played with the organ's brass stops. Congratulations on your great rendition.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I ply the piano and organ. Today (October 5), we sang this as our opening hymn. It is #883 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship in the Praise, Thanksgiving section. Just thought I'd share.
Thanks! For some reason the camera really made the organ sound "clunky," which it doesn't in person. It must have a better internal mic than I thought!

This hymn is really powerful. I wish we'd use it sometime.

Thanks for your kind words. I've seen the music before, it's just been a long time. I was especially happy with verses three and four, considering.
I wasn't sure about the key changes at the end...I thought I might have overdone it there, LOL.

My apologies...this was sitting here waiting to be approved and I never did. Hopefully your funeral has not come and gone in that time!
