The CRX is one car that should never be recreated. It was extremely light, sporty, and damn pretty to look at. This will be heavy by comparison, looks like an insight with a body kit, wont live up to the previous cars fun factor.

I'm down w/ your sentiments, since i'm one of those people that put the CRX sports hatch on a pedestal... but the resemblance in the car's name in this case seems to be merely incidental. According to Honda it's for "Compact Renaissance Zero" and is meant to be a tool to draw in that new hybrid-buying demographic who aren't normally Honda loyalists.

My friends CRX can run 11 seconds flat without all these flashy stroker kits, turbos or supercharged engines. Just a gutted CRX with a b16 engine and a lot of NOS. how many people can make an 11 second car with about 3000 dollars?!?

no, honda is making a line of hybrids to compete with toyota... they already released the insight, n next they r releasing the crz... then after that i heard they are releasing an accord crosstour which will compete with toyota's new venza... i also heard they r adding another crossover SUV to acura's line

honda yet again makes a great car. its a hybrid though, which sucks, cuz itll be half as fast. its a very beautiful compact ill give them that. my favorite honda, let alone car in the universe? honda crx si, hands down.

total crap logic. as with electric cars, the torque and response from an electric engine is IMMEDIATE. Try before you cry. I turn heads every day from the immediate pick up (due to electric assist and a body weight of less than 2000 lbs) of my 2003 honda insight. I doubt highly that the crz will lack in the speed and pick up department.
