there is probably some of the fluorescent liquid in the beaker to begin with. as you can see the one second from the right is already glowing. the others could be chemiluminescent. not sure
I saw their site, and they're more reggae influenced. Anyway, I'm well surprised. I live in Caribbean Colombia and we here like these kind of sounds like reggae, calipso, salsa, merengue... even african music like soukous.
Glad you like it :-) google drum'n'zez i'm sure they'd be glad to hear positive comments :-) on their website you have under download this song, it's called "aubaba"
Upon exposure to black light some chemicals give glow. All you have to do is dissolve some fluorescent dyes in appropriate solvents. Beside the one we drank for all others we used acetone as a solvent. They gave off respectively: rhodamine B red glow, rubrene yellow glow, 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene green glow, 9,10-diphenylanthracene + nile red violet glow, rhodamine 6G orange glow.
Why you drink only the middle one? What were all the chemicals and compounds?

Schweppes :-)

Tonic water to be more precise, because it contains Quinine. Many molecules with aromatic rings have fluorescent ability.
