  • people laugh and think this was funny back then, but this cased great camotion back then, a-lot of people committed suicide. and around that time is when they then introduced a laws stating that it is a crime to do so. so laugh all you want but remember people died Because of some ones stupid experiment on the public.

  • @1dalyan commotion*

  • you just got radio rolled!

  • this broadcast is scarier than any horror movie out right now

  • @Hellspear6 it's amazing really, such a insignificant little broadcast causing such a big panic.

  • Peopple commited suicide because of this broadcast

  • 1:51 Crypto!!

  • @RadTheDude my favourite game ever

  • thumbs up if 9gag brought you here :)

  • @1993z32 No, VlogBrothers did

  • @1993z32 no the 1938 broadcast of Orson Welle's did

  • Was the professor also the conductor of an orchestra? LOL

  • THAT was part of the original broadcast that actually fooled people into believing it was real?

  • @ARAVENSWING yes it is

  • Fun thing that, "those creatures know what that means. What anything means." lol

  • @matrix4022 I know! It was so original!

  • It's a shame Americans don't have this accent anymore.

  • @matrix4022 True that.

  • After that broadcast Orson Welles reportedly went back on air and said "Trololololol". After that he then asked his listeners " U Mad my fellow Americans?".

Orson Welles: The Father of the Modern Day Troll

  • @IIVDevilsMayCareVII yea someone already said that. And a lot better. Thanks for playing though.

  • @AchillesSmile Uhhh what?

  • ..........

  • Imagination land - south park

  • The thing is, before the whole broadcast started.. It was stated that the following 'War of The Worlds' was a play and entirely fictional. DAMN AMERICAN SHOULD BE ON TIME FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENTS.

  • Wow.... We r doin this for drama(fake part)

  • its funny seeing comments saying it was a deliberate hoax, it wasn't meant to scare people! it was designed to be a fake broadcast based on The War Of The Worlds. They did announce it was fake but many people didn't hear them say it which lead to the panic! Its like the old saying "dont believe what you see on tv!"

  • Americans can't read. This is why they were so easily fooled. War of the worlds, the book, isn't based in America, it's based in England. This combination of factors led to an epic fail in intelligence. End transmission.

  • @ambiguousheather lol why so hurtful?

  • this is the biggest hoax any idiot could come up with. this made people hide in their basement armed with shotguns it makes me sick the people will trick their own country

  • what if it was actually real and they were just told to cover it up and say it was a 'hoax' ... ?
