love this song, if only they could use this trio more often... wouldn't it be grand if Disney did an entire film focusing on the adventures of the Caballeros, saving people or such, man I'd love to see Disney do that someday.
Hello! the comment-police is back, so I'll allow them again~
Have fun to ur heart's content! (as long as u keep it clean.. I'll still be erasing all comments with implications to the "gay"-word. which, to remind u all, meant "happy" in the old days when this movie was made)
Joaquin Garay had an accent closer to Spanish than mexican in this song. The way we pronounces J, C and S at the end of words, and the English "th"is how Spanish people do it.
I wonder if mexicans spoke Spanish with that accent back in 40's, or if he's an exception.
Before anyone gets the wrong idea when the rooster says 'gay', he means happy. NOT the other version. This is just to keep immature jokes (which I'm sure a lot of you did). And thanks @JannyBeeGood for helping explain that
This great song was written by Manuel Esperón, the best musician of the 30's and 40's, he won many awards in his lifetime, inlcuding Premio Nacional de Ciencias y Artes, as well as Ariel's and many more. Walkt Disney invited him to participate in this movie after seeing his succes in making music for mexican cinema. You can find a link to this movie on Wikipedia
I'm 22 and i watched this when i was like 6 or something, but i watched it like a hundred times in a week. My parents said i was obsessed, to the point of them being worried and hiding the movie from me. I had no fucking idea until today it was from the 1940s. WOW. my brain blew out of my head when i heard that.
I just have to say this... I'M SICK OF THE STUPID SHOWS ON DISNEY CHANNEl LIKE HANNAH MONTANA AND JONAS!!! I WANT THE OLD DISNEY BACK!! I WANT MORE DISNEY MOVIES THAT MAKE ME CRY WHEN I WATCH THEM LIKE THE LION KING AND POCAHONTAS!! I'M SURE THAT IF WE BROUGHT BACK THE ORIGINAL DISNEY, OUR SOCIETY WOULD CHANGE! So if you agree with me, do anything you can like spread the word, copy and paste this everywhere, or even make a petition online!! BRING BACK THE CIRCLE OF LIFE!!!!!
I watched this as a very small child on VHS, but it was like a tape with only music on it in the beginning, and then goes on to some stuff that's just plain humor.
Thanks for this--I love the song, and I ADORE Panchito!!! Too bad Disney never did anything else with that character (correct me if I'm wrong; I'd love to be wrong on this), because he has to be one of the most charming ever to come out of that studio. In fact, if it weren't inappropriate to say about an animated rooster, I'd say Panchito had a lot of s3x appeal. ;-)
P.S. I really appreciate the subtitles, especially for "Jalisco no te rajes". Now I can sing along with the whole song!
I found myself singing this at work today and had to come find the video. I remember having just this song on a Disney Sing-Along Songs VHS, and then when I got a hold of the actual movie, I thought all the non-cartoon parts were sooo boring. Thanks for putting this up! :D
omg they were about to kill him at the end LOLOL 'cept toons can only be killed two ways. With Dip (from Who Framed Roger Rabbit), or not having fans anymore...thankfully people still remember this.
One of my favorite Disney movies!^^ I'm a carioca and it makes me so happy to know Walt Disney made a brazilian character. I love José! <3 Especially at 0:41 when he dances the samba, so cute. :3

is best this version in english I love the 3 caballeros in spanish go. Somos los 3 carros, los 3 caballeros y nadie es igual a nosotros Nothing to the original version :S I Love disney
you notice in the beginning of the song "3 gay caballeros" well remember this movie was released in 1945 and in the 40's it wasn't seen the word gay as we see it now they used it in it original term which mean joyful then in the 70's the homosexual community adopted it the word as there own.
p.s i'm basing comment on the comment of carlosmercadoabarca i thought it was good for the rest to know also as well
Im mexican and when i listen "Three GAY caballeros" i say WTF, because caballero in spaish is like something repectable. I don't Knew it, thanks for the information. Now im laughing. jajajaja
@QUEPEDOTEGORGOREA GAY back then didn't mean the same thing as GAY today....GAY back then meant happy and they had other words for gay back then...as to how GAY went from HAPPY to what it means to the general public today is beyond me but ANYWAYS hope that clears it up for you
Panchito is singing in Spanish. This was originally a popular Mexican song, entitled "Jalisco Nos Tarachas", and Panchito is singing the original Mexican lyrics. The English lyrics were created by Disney for these cartoon characters. It was a very nice touch for Disney to include the original Mexican lyrics in this cartoon, along with the new English words.
@Howdybub9 The name of the original song is "Ay Jalisco no te rajes" which could be translated as "Dont back off, Jalico". Jalisco is the name of the mexican State where mariachis are originally from. There`s even a movie with the same title. Saludos.

Bull crap. Stop being a critic and enjoy it. Otherwise don't leave stupid comments like that if you can't be positive.

I don't even remember what this movie was about but I loved this song so much.
It's so weird to watch a cartoon where a character smokes because now special interest groups would be raising hell for it.
Anyway, this was an awesome vid and thank you for posting it.

the movie was honestly weird x.x they apparently made it to show the culture of Mexico and Brazil, or something like that ^^" lol
well, it's old movie, these days smoking has unfortunately become some kind of "fashion" among youths -_-"
and np ^^ I didn't realize it would be a view-gather when I did x_x" ^^
