  • Call this man what ever you want. I call him Luv~

  • Far and away, Yusuf Islam is the best artist of the 70's & 80's as he can still sound as excellent as he did then. Fan for life.

  • my mom used to have his album cover on the wall it used to freak us out as kids because his eyes followed us

  • This song makes me shiver with happiness. He reminds me of my dad.

  • lovely~~

  • Great voice, great songs. Truly gifted from God.

  • why is he sitting 30 feet from the front of the stage?

  • So glad you're singing again Yusuf. The world needs you now more than ever.

  • i love love love love thissss :D

  • ow>??//?where do i get tickets for next show???

  • beautiful.

  • I saw Cat at the LA Forum in 1977, and at the Universal Amphitheater a few times before that.. what an artist.

  • He is so great. I grew up listening to his music and it really got me through hard times. He is and always will be a part of my soul.

  • it's all part of the journey. I saw him in concert when he was a young man, obviously looking for something. He found it, and we lost him for awhile. His voice is maybe better now, deeper with years and learning. I've always remembered this song, and how it hinted at his search.

  • I'm sorry, Cat; but this man is a separate being from the young man I loved from back when. Cat Stevens and Yusef are; to me; two different people. It leaves me troubled. The energy and passion you expressed in the 70's never fails to touch me. One of my favorites is "Tuesday's Dead". You were a delight to listen to as well as watch. Thank you so much for so generously sharing your special gifts with the world. You are a deep and kind soul. ~peace

  • @twilightstardust5 He had little to gain from this world in his journey toward the Beloved. His soul is the same one he started with. The solemness his face exudes is tainted with no dishonesty.

He is one of the humblest men I have seen, who sat on a cement floor and spoke in the most soothing manner and ease.

If there were angels on Earth, he'd probably be one.

  • wow...awesome!!!

  • so lovely,,,,we miss you.

  • His voice sounds just as good as it was when he was younger. Thats incredible

  • He is now 61-years old and his voice is as good as it was when he was 21. HIs religious ideals should have never been what was focused on. Cat/Yusuf is a musician, songwriter, artist, and humanitarian. Once in "GQ Magazine" they had a painting of him where he looked like the Ayatollah Khomeini. He was never anything dangerous, just a guy who, then and now, wanted to change the world for the better. His music reflects that. Isn't his music what we are on this page for now? Salam Yusuf

  • Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam is the most amazing musician ever. I think the best part is that you can witness his personal journey through his music. Becoming Muslim wasn't some gimmick, and I don't think it's something to be criticized. Clearly it is his calling, and I hope he gets called to come to the U.S. for a tour one day. Seeing him in concert is definitely on my bucket list.

  • Was great then, is great now! He is a spiritual man, on his path. Let's honor that.

  • I sincerely hope you will tour in America again someday. You are my favorite musician of all time.

  • What I'd REALLY like to see is him sing Father and Son, with Yusef singing the father part, and Cat singing the son part.

  • Nice. T_T

  • Wow... Beautiful voice what a great performance

  • Still love you Cat, wish you could return to the U.S. for a concert. I grew-up with you and your music. Brings back many good memories of the 1970's. Thanks cat

  • wow sounds just like the recording. what an excellent musician.

  • He's such a beautiful man, I wish he was playing in america; I can listen to him sing forever :')

  • happy to hear agian,,,amzing man,,,

  • so peaceful..

  • man , you are GREATE

  • Like a fine wine, songs from singer/songwriters like Yusef Islam/Cat Stevens get better with age. Simple as that.

  • Yusuf or Cat, this is beautiful music. Thank you for the beautiful gifts you have provided the world throughout your musical journey.

  • I couldn't be happier to see that you're back! The world needs more of your magic ...

    Thank you!

  • Only God knows.

  • All of us have his children to thank for convincing their father to resume playing these songs and to resume his musical life's journey. For 20 years, Cat Stevens disavowed music altogether after converting to Islam, but his children told him it's time to get on with his music & not forget where he came from. This is why he's back & better than ever.

  • Thank you, God!

    Thank you , Yusuf!

Good health to Yusuf, so that he can continue to spread 'The wind' of love

    everywhere. mikki from France

  • God Bless You.

  • @Zedisch 2011 too :P

  • This makes me tear up a little bit..

  • so great! :-)

  • I am just getting chills listening to him sing. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

May the whole world live in happiness and peace.

  • thats gods music right there

  • He is still singing the same songs; have you noticed? So what business is it of ours what his religion may be? These songs inspired us once; they still inspire me now. And I say, "Best wishes to you, Yusif! I wish you a long life and happiness. Your music will live even longer than you, and that is something to be proud and happy about."

  • Do, 12.05.11, 20:00 Uhr in oberhausen ich gehe hinn

  • oh what a song for me

  • I never make the same mistakes .....No never never never......:)

  • i love cat stevens

  • i don't care about what his religion is ,yusuf islam is my religion

  • I listen to the wind of my soul...

  • very nice !

  • Für Mich Wird Er Immer Cat Stevens Bleiben !

  • @MrAndrenator

    schön für dich

  • THIS MAN IS NOT MY ENEMY.

I got no enemies until one declares it to me.

Wlak in the light of love!

    Adonai.

  • I will always love you, by any name at all.

You brought more to this being and this world with your music than anyone could hope for. The honest sharing of your search.

    Glad you're performing again some!

    US misses you!!

  • He keeps that beautiful voice ♥

I love this song so much, it's magical...

  • Voice is still incredible. Healthy living thanks to his religious views? Whatever, it worked!

  • Whow, he's as awesome as at the time I grew up with him, Winnie The Pooh and There And Back Again.

  • I wish this song wasn't so short.

  • LEGEND****

  • One time in ~2002 or 2003, I was sitting in the sun near some grass, and started playing and singing this song, The Wind, with my guitar. I had the day free to go with the flow. What i did was started singing this song as a chant, over and over, and kept playing it and playing it with all my heart. Nothing like that had ever happened to me before. I got a hunch to look up some information about Cat Stevens that night. The page showed his birthday, July 21, and guess what day it was that day!

  • encantador, realmente...

  • I notice that he's playing this down several keys than in his younger years! Happens to all of us as we get older!

  • @joanaroja He is definitely singing it in the same key as the original recording. Deeper voice, but same notes

  • Amazing song! Thanks for sharing

  • Long live to this man of peace. If everybody were like this man, how far would we go fighting against fear, and above all, evil????

  • I really like it that Steven/cat/Yusuf is back on stage playing music.

  • Such a beautiful man..beautiful soul.

  • I am very happy that you have returned to sing. His voice, his music, his songs are unforgettable. Welcome to Cat Stevens. You are my favorite singer, number one. Their new songs are beautiful, simple and very strong, because they touch the heart of being human. Continue to sing. God bless your talent. Much love and peace throughout the world, Amen.

  • One of his best and that's saying a lot.

  • He'll always be my favorite singer/songwriter.

  • wow, he hasn't changed a bit, I love Cat Stevens and this song ;)....thanks for posting it ;)

  • Such a beautiful song! Hard to pick my favourites, but this has to be one of them! Thanks Yusuf / Cat for providing such inspiration!

  • beautiful.............what a strong soul!

  • wow what a nice song just brilliant **** 555

  • So pleased Yusuf that you have recognized that you have a gift from God which is to be shared. We children of the sixties have lived in a deprived state since you stopped singing. Hopefully, the wisdom you have gained during his period of reclusion will allow you to blossom forth. You can be a great bridge between Muslims and people of other belief systems. Jim

  • A true honey

  • Love this guy forever

  • One of the best lyricist of the inner-self searching topics. What a beautiful soul and he still looks very handsome!

  • just learned peace train on guitar!

ive you know a song it will always stay with you

  • The Wind I listen to the wind To the wind of my soul Where I’ll end up well I think, Only God really knows I’ve sat upon the setting sun But never, never, never, never I never wanted water once No, never, never, never I listen to my words But they fall far below I let my music take me Where my heart wants to go I’ve swam upon the devil’s lake But never, never, never, never I’ll never make the same mistake No, never, never, never
  • May grace and peace come to you all...

  • Thanks -peace my brother.

  • he was great in the 70' years. And he is great in 2010.

We are people on this planet. Let us live togehter as brother and sister. And listen to the music of Yusif / Cat Stevens. You will learn so much about life. Just listen to him. Thank you

  • @Zedisch AMEN, BROTHER! Yusef's songs transcend time. That is because they are gospel. A new gospel, for the one planet we all share and the one future for which we all have hopes, dreams, ideals.

  • @Zedisch .......Or, as the lyrics say, listen to the wind, to the wind of your soul! =)

  • @Zedisch Beautiful words you say.

  • This is one of my most favorite meaningful songs.I'm so happy you decoded to listen to your soul and not the words of man and started creating and playing music again.A gift from God should never be wasted.

  • Have loved your music for so long now. I'm 50 this year. My father had your albums. I've had your cds, and now my daughters have your music.

Peace. Thank you for sharing the talents given you. Jeanne

  • Jeannie, this one's for you.

  • Very few could tell a story in song with an acoustic guitar like Cat Stevens. I`m so glad he has returned to pop music even if only in a minimal way.

  • Questa canzone è meravigliosa

  • Beautiful music, I am glad that Yusuf (Cat Stevens) is singing again, he has such a gift.

  • I love you, brother Yusuf! God bless you!

  • love you in God Yusuf, wish you the best

  • you are so different and your music, YOSEF or wolf, u r great...

  • He's written so very many beautiful songs, it's impossible to say any one is "THE best" of them.

But I don't think he ever wrote anything more perfect than this one, which I think i also his shortest.

It's like a tiny jewel, reflecting the whole world brightly on its facets, and glowing gently with an inner warmth.

I can never get tired of hearing it.

Thank you so much for posting it here.

  • @smartalek1 I agree! I feel the same way! I can't count the amount of times I've heard this song, and yet I can still find new depths in it!

  • True Talent

  • So much peace!

  • One of my favorites, truly.

    It says it all...thanks, Yusuf!

  • Man haven't we all swam on the devils lake!! Masterpiece.

  • No matter what religion he holds or what name he goes by, to me, he is the same old Cat Stevens I knew and loved. He is the best ever.

  • @MultiHotpot

true...his music is magic....i can't dilute it with politics or religion, lest it be destroyed in my realm.

  • I agree with you totally!!

  • @MultiHotpot I wish every1 would b like u & just enjoy his songs :-)

  • @MultiHotpot He is BETTER than ever, because he has found his way. Yusef's gospel knows no denomination, no dogma, no differences. I am a Christian, so I share the same God/Allah with Yusef Islam. And I rejoice that he has raised his voice again in a time when Christians, Jews and Muslims are supposed to be at war. No jehad here, only hope, faith and a will to be as one.

  • i luv cat stevens! RobinLang1 ur totally right!!!
