  • i thought it was about lonbgoarding

  • I love how he does a little cha-cha before each shot.

  • you know two handed back hand is when YOU USE FRICKING BOTH HANDS STUPIDDD!!!!!!!!!

  • @1:53 wtf :@

  • what about the lower body? shouldn't he be stepping forward? The energy should be going forward, not sideways... At the 4 minute spot, he starts moving in with his back foot first.. I totally disagree.. step with your front foot as you make contact with the ball. When your racket starts coming forward, start stepping forward with your front foot. That way, your energy is forward, directed towards where you want the ball to go. (just my opinion.. i'm a 'pro' as well). otherwise i liked it.

  • @saharajoshua He is just focusing on the arm movement not the stepping. He is breaking apart the swing so morons like myself can take all this in.I think he explained this well.30 years I have been wondering what a 2 handed BH was.

  • i use 50% 50% left/right. am I alone?

  • this guy is soooo funny, hahahaahaha

  • does this person understand that most people are right handed..

  • Very good

  • I use an extreme eastern for my non-dominant hand. This is a great drill!

  • This guy strokes it using both hands.

  • HE LOOKS LIKE DRAKE!

  • his voice sounds wierd what kind of accent is it? russian i think?

He looks wierd when he hits it eh?

  • his voice sounds wierd what kind of accent is it? russian i think?

  • Is it me or does he look like on drug?

  • 1:01 looks shortbus

  • very nice... i teach backhands very similarly... do you teach open stance on the backhand

  • not helpful at all...and people's grips aren't always the same so idk why he focused so much...also the doing a forehand with your non-dominant hand might be ok if you already know what your doing but SHOW the backhand itself in an instructional video....show where your feet should be and focus on the swing and how it's supposed to look....you can't get anything out of that really

  • The best lesson video to learn how to play tennis using 2 hands backhand . It's quite clear, easy to understand, you have listed out all main key points which really help me to play succefully 2 hands backhand. Thank you so much Master!

  • hhaha hes like retarded robot

  • this is dumb when he explains all the types of grips and stuff.. C'mon, the target audience for this video are beginners, trying to learn how to do a backhand.. these people obviously don't know the names/types of grips. Thanks for explaining something simple, in a more complicated way.. lol

  • @henningsS 1:53 is his reply to that comment

  • whitie tighties @1:08

    ewwww

  • @rachelanne0820 He whants to be link

  • I don't like how he does his backhand... continental with the left hand? that's weird! I use semiwestern for my left hand since I am also a lefty and it works just fine... and I like to bend my elbow to give it a little more power... TRUST ME GUYS... I've only been playing for THREE YEARS but my backhands are killers! Especially when I do a cross court backhand! I strive to get even better in tennis! :D

  • 1:53, the son a bitch flipped me off

  • this used to be my favorite shot (b/c i swing lefthanded-baseball) but now i can't hit one for the life of me.

  • hey Davydenko is 5'10 soo it's good :)

  • nice tips. thanks!

  • how tall are you ?

    is 5'10 good for Tennis?

  • his right hand is holding it with a eastern grip, not semi-western

  • Why does he exaggerate the follow-through so much? He isn't following all the way through the shot, for example, compared to Novak Djokovic.

  • @YyJoBb - hey, please don't advertise your helpo growth formula on youtube. we don't mind that it works for YOU, but as for others, leave them alone please. thanks

  • @YyJoBb Although getting low bounce balls would be a bit of a challenge, but I don't think it matters.

  • @TheNerdStory KEVIN!

  • @YyJoBb Yeah being tall is a good bonus in tennis and probably for most sports.

  • this is a great video. I would say the only downside is that hes a lefty just because some people (as pathetic as it may sound) cannot distinguish the difference, just as far things being the same but opposite. I have spent too much time teaching club hacks :(

  • I was doing this with a coupla kdz da other time bt wasnt sure if twas right! bt they enjoyed using their weak hand!!!!THANX for this video

  • thanks player

  • ugh..y u gotta be lefty

  • I remember him!!!! i saw a video from him about forehand and helped me tonss!!!! hope is the same now for my backhand as well! thanks for your videos!!

  • he was useing his middle finger to point not nice lol

  • this shit sux doesn't even talk about foot positioning and where to place weight.

  • @Penspinner007 Its pretty obvious lol, just look at what hes doing?

  • omg he is andre agassi jajajaj

  • agassi look alike

  • the best way to practice your technique, is to put a women infront, backhand and repeat

  • lmao why is his wrong hand forehand better than my dominant hand forehand...

  • Comment removed

  • I know you are a pro and that is one way to learn a 2 handed back hand but that is not 100% accurate. A 2 handed backhand can be very very similar to a 1 handed back hand only you use 2 hands to turn your shoulder and swing through with your strong hand.

  • he sounds drunk

  • thanks for this contribution for all us tennis lovers....

  • my friend found that same racquet at the tennis courts lol someone left it

  • Can someone help me? I don't know if I should be doing a two-handed backhand or a one-handed backhand. What's the difference?

  • how much of your non-dominant arm should you use in a two-handed backhand?

  • @LosAnggraito like he sais 10%

  • I actually trying to switch to double back hand, I realized that I was using a wrong grip, and that's why the most of the balls went to the net. Gonna try the correct grips tomorrow.

  • thank you, every time i try to do a 2-hand (i always do 1-hand like Rodger Federer) i use my right the same percent as my left(im right hand for tennis)

  • Thanks Mr. Bloom: I´ve always told my students exactly what you've showed here, but now I have this video coming from a pro like you that supports my teaching.

  • Someday Federer is gonna be making vids like this and there'd be a bunch of kids going "Huh... who is dis old guy lmao. I could play better than him even"

    It's sad :(

  • look at 1:00

  • this guy sounds and looks like a godfather

  • he was 61 or 63.

  • definitely bad

  • @rmsprowler Just wanted to say that you sound like a total wanker. You obviously think you're pretty awesome. You probably can't even make state.

  • @kirinlager49 Don't be jealous because i know more about the game than you

  • @rmsprowler There is no way you know more about tennis than me. Roddick's backhand doesn't even look anything like that in the video.. And you have the nerve to pay out Roddick's backhand over the internet when you're on here looking for tips on how to hit one - you are pathetic. This video contains good coaching, I am 25 and have been playing for 20 years, was coached for almost 10. And now I'm thinking of switching to a 2 handed backhand, but it feels so alien - and these are very good tips

  • @kirinlager49 lol are you freaking kidding me? lol i can tell you really don't know very much about the two handed backhand. roddick does in fact use that technique but with a different backhand. just because it looks different doesn't mean that's not what he does idiot. wow please don't comment again because your retardedness is killing me.

  • @rmsprowler LOL you get all your info from the tennis-warehouse forums. I knew you were pathetic

  • @kirinlager49 i'll take that as a "yes, rms, you're right and i'm wrong."

  • @rmsprowler No, you should take it as - rms you are a fucking feeble little internet armchair pro who has no real life tennis skills, but still feels qualified to criticise the backhands of top pros, whilst sharing the knowledge you gain on internet forums and attempting to coach youtubers to lift your own ego.

  • @kirinlager49 lol i'm good enough to kick your trash. i would freaking kill you.

  • @rmsprowler While you're in here talking yourself up on the internet I'm out there winning matches. Don't even pretend to be any good.

  • I gain knowledge from the TW forums, your point?

  • @kirinlager49 agassi's grip position is a strong right hand dominant position. but you're an idiot so you wouldn't know that. you'll notice his left arm is a continental grip to make it a less dominant part of the swing. but you wouldn't know that either because you run your mouth before knowing what the heck you're saying.

  • Great tip ! It worked for me... 90% weak hand, 10% strong hand... my two handed backhand is now devastating!!!

    Thanks

  • if you want a "roddick" backhand then follow this video

  • @rmsprowler i dont know if that would be good or bad...haha

  • Does anyone seriously want a Roddick style backhand? probably the most technically flawed BH in the game and possible next to Gasquet's forehand as the most technically flawed grounstroke in the game.

  • yeah right hand dominant but left hand just helps guide the racket. no push or pull from left hand

  • turn... right hand dominant.

  • um you're actually wrong. agassi's backhand is like a one handed backhand with his left arm to guide that racket. i would trust agassi over this video.

  • thats some useful informetion thx a lot!

tell us about the topspin-slice serv pls

  • Great break down on the back hand. Thank you for the tips.

  • Your videos are a GOLDMINE! I'm a new player/lefty and you helped my backhand a ton. Thank you so much!

  • thanks coach it helped me alot..im a beginner..more power to you

  • He literally looks and sounds handicapped...

  • hahaha, at 00:47 it looks like he's wanking an invisible donkey

  • If you want to become a GREAT TENNIS PLAYER (match player), go to my channel: ( 2knowfun2 ) and watch the video: World Class Tennis (Part1/2). I have designed this tennis video in a very unique way and it is for all levels. When you have watched and mastered both my videos (part 1 and part 2), you will become a Great Match Player.

  • "turn... right hand dominant" ok.

  • "like golf, maybe. I think." Lol great tip and i liked the funny part added in.

  • this guy talks exactly the same as the actor John C reiley

  • this is a great video, its like aerobics, you practise along him, not robotics at all

  • Good tips, but very robotic.

  • I liked the video but mostly I lol with the below comments :-)

  • this is completely wrong in my opinion. It might work if you want to play tennis maybe once a month to get by, but if you want a good backhand, dont listen to this guy. One, problem is that It has nothing to do with a forehand. Second problem is that he sort of hits half of the swing and then follows through. Notice that all of the best 2 handed backhands complete the swing by going forwards. And his saying about it being 90% weak hand is wrong, more like 50-60 percent weak hand

  • @awesomo95 i thought the same good to know someone thinks the same

  • WOW!!!

    im right handed!

but from this video i understand it perfectly well now!

    thnx man

  • you are a doll....the arm like that jajajajajja very bad

  • Comment removed

  • lol was this guy high when they were filming this

  • Very good explaination!!

  • Now, I know what is my problem. It is my grip :) Gonna try the new grip tomorrow.

  • You're the best :)

  • Pretty good teaching but is he a hanidivap

  • Now I understand why i loose vs players who play two handed back hand.

They play forehand on both sides !!!!

  • he just gave you all the finger 1:54

  • THIS WORKS PERFECT! TESTED BY ME!

  • His instruction is for a 5 year old...thats right !! which means its perfect !! because we are ALL 5 year-olds, when we learn something...people who are sensitive and think its condescending, need it repeated to them over and over again, anyway !! so just repeat it to them, upfront and hope they are humble ; )

  • yh, just practise a 'left forehand'. Even though your right arm is stronger. ;)

  • good lesson :)

  • greatr teaching mate.....ill use it with the kids tonight.

  • @tiptop4u you have know idea what your talking about this guy has great information. also nobody cares if your a tennis pro, its not like your an actual pro and i doubt that your even a teaching pro.

  • pretty good teaching

  • he looks like a robot goin back and forth ahha.

  • thanx cuz i have tennis tryouts tommorow.! :)

  • thanx

  • so if your a right hander you would practise it by using your left hand as your forehand techinique?

  • @scagboy no shit moron

  • fuck off you large headed fuck

  • YAW

  • As a tennis pro I think this guy needs to go on some courses or read some good tennis books to get better understanding of this he is talking about!

  • @tiptop4u i agree dude.

  • @tiptop4u He was a top 100 player on the ATP tour singles for several years and had more success playing doubles. His name is Jilal and he's from Israel, once the top Israeli tennis player. I think before you comment it's YOU who should get some information about who you're commenting about bud.

  • @xman4un well said mr

  • @tiptop4u So you're a tennis pro? Yeah, yeah, yeah...the so-called tennis pro's come a dime a dozen...I've seen and heard it all over the years... and most of them are mediocre and full of it..are you any exception?

  • @tiptop4u I bet he could bet u so bad lol dont talk please

  • Great lesson! Thanks man.

  • (I think) This is Very Useful about Two Handed Backhand.!! Es algo muy UTIL.!! remember AnyBody is so Perfect.!! saludoss.

  • being a pro coach myself & working with media for tennis tips , this guy unfortunately makes u wana fall asleep :-) , needs to work on energy level mate ....we r on a tennis court not a science class :)

  • cool

  • nice video!

  • Powerball has helped relieve my tennis elbow and add strength to my wrists and forearms. Visual proof on my channel.

  • its ok , but not good, he says nothing about his right shoulder, "moving in" :-p

  • @arnesleben

yeah, but not all people have the right shoulder

  • I was unable to generate any pace with 2 hands. Now that I've switched to one hand my backhand is my strongest shot.

  • great coach, for basics!

  • he flicks you off at 1:55

  • dontorry, honkiemarge, no one cares if you don't suscribe....

  • this is the basics he is teaching and that is exactly how a professor should teach.. excelent job coach...

  • Comment removed

  • Wat is that you smoked before the show sir...

  • is he drunk?

  • ahah that's my first thought as i heard him talking

  • yep!

  • His swing is so awkward, body needs to turn with the arms. How can you not know that? Plus that left arm elbow needs to move and help the arm extend giving more than 10% power to the shot.

  • this is funny

  • I'll put a video up of my backhand, i'm far from a pro, but my two handed back hand is as clean if not cleaner than any pro. If you want a vid. request it and i'll put it up.

  • very modest

  • follow through isn't very good.....the grip-part is very helpful....but follow through is too close to the neck....and he didn't say a thing about "low to high path" and for that you have to move your dominant hand more than he showed........

  • and the shoulder rotation........he didn't mention that too........

  • He is exaggerating it for demonstration I think. But to get real power in your backhand you need to have a big take back and follow through...well at least thats what I find.

  • Hey i just saw your comment on the two-handed back hand video. If you want to get some pop on your backhand, it's not so much your take back, but the torque you put on your lower back. Think of your lower back like a rubber band, and use it to accelerate through the swing, learn how to do this naturally and you will see some significant increase in power.

  • If I would of known what a "semi western" was, I probably wouldnt be watching this video...

  • same here,if he could just say how we should hold it and then tell us wat kind of grip it is...i wish they had a righty demonstration cuz im confused

  • He said it :

You shoult hold it the same way you hold it for a forehand... but this time with the other hand... And your right hand (i suppose you're a righty... but if not just do the opposite) just holds the racquet with a continental grip (the one you use for your serve)

listen to what he says at 1:49

  • I was answering to djmeowmix13

  • hm good video but thats not a very good follow through its way to close to your neck that could result in an injury

  • sounds like, "ROCKY"

  • dude ur gonna break ur neck

  • damn how much have u been drinkin lately looks like ur gonna fall over any second

  • He should've showed us how to do it if we're right handed. But it helped a bit.

  • relax dude hehe , breath .. lol .. he seems like he just played a 3 hours game :P

  • Thanks, this video really helped me. I've just started learning tennis!

  • The 10% action looks familar, but I use my right hand. :-) Not on the tennis court of course, you will get arrested!

  • hes drunk

  • how did you know?

  • just looks like it

  • hey cool im a leftie too, really helped

    thx

  • This vid helped. Thx a lot.

  • turn, right hand dominant.
