  • This was just an exercise I did to try out the zsketch feature. I thought in making an alien version inspired by the amazing Giger's work of which I'm a big fan. I was not intended to recreate an exact replica of some of his designs. Thanks for the comments!

  • How do you add and change just one of the "strips" though? I can't figure it out

    Thanks!

  • @lilschwoeg I've just updated the description bar. Check out the "making of" article at the link above

  • RATE & COMMENT :D Thanks

  • thats not how an Alien looks like, maybe you should use some ref pics and redo? :)

  • @Gfors85 this is exactly how a xenomorph heads looks like, minus the dripping seliaver or Extended tongue.

  • @MrNoknownidentity not going to discuss this until you actually see a picture of HR Gigers design or Alec Gillis designs of Alien...

  • master of zspheres?

  • could you please do a tutorial showing how you used the zspheres and tools?

  • @imnotstpid Take a look at zsketchmania.blogspot.com

  • Neat. Zspheres look very hard to master

  • how do you do to leave the original structure inside the sculptured one?!

  • AWESOME!!! crazy sculpting! also just to throw this in...wut song is this??

  • What kind of computer or laptop(preferably) would you recommend for this program? I was thinking about getting a high end gaming pc just because I think it wouldn't be difficult for it to handle multiple polys and also because I like video games. But I'm also being pressured into getting a Mac, because it's suppose to be better suited for this. But Macs are so expensive and it seems I can get a more powerful pc for less of the cost. Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

  • @salsa101

A high end gaming pc shoud be enough. That's it mine and works perfect. Mac is also fine but is not so good for games;)

  • @MaxterOne not quite so true now on the note of macs, but i'd still prefer a pc mostly because if you build it right you get the same performance for a lot less

  • @salsa101 it is probably better to get a gaming pc (I use one) rather than a mac because releases of versions for Zbrush come out for windows before they come out of macs usually.

I actually can't see why a mac would be better for digital artists. At the moment, with mac os 10, flash is not very compatible with it and that would suck bollocks if you are a flash artist. And I think adobe is quite angry with apple atm because of the iPad not using flash so it will probably be safer to get a pc.
